The 2023/24 A-League season has enjoyed a blockbuster start, with Adelaide United’s 6-0 thumping of Melbourne City last weekend potentially the most seismic result in the recent history of the competition.

Elsewhere, last season’s champions Central Coast Mariners are also sat in the doldrums, without a point from their opening two games, as are Melbourne City and Sydney FC.

Adelaide United are flying high at the top of the pile, with Melbourne Victory hot on their tails and this season looks to be as open as any in recent years.
