The Crows lost their last three games by a combined margin of 16 points, including a 78-76 loss to Fremantle last week. They might have lost, but it was a huge comeback to almost steal the win, and they should be confident about this week’s game.

Carlton comes off losses to Melbourne and North Melbourne, so it’s not a great form guide. Their only win came by four points against Richmond, which could be an even worse form guide than their losses.

Therefore, Adelaide should win and cover the –33.5 spread. They kick off Gather Round in front of their home fans, and it should be a one-sided game from the outset. The opening line has already moved, so it could be wise to lock in the number before it moves to –34.5
