AFL Grand Final Exotic Bets

Most Disposals – Clayton Oliver

The Melbourne Demon is the $3 second favourite and with good reason. The midfielder has been racking up big disposal numbers all season, including 27 in the preliminary final against Geelong.

He wasn’t the best on the park, which went to Jack Viney, but we think he will improve on those statistics in the final.

Viney is $21 for this option, so he’s expected to be a bit quieter. Christian Petracca is the biggest danger for the Demons. He is $6 after having 32 disposals against Geelong.

Jack Mcrae is the $2.30 favourite, but we think he could struggle for the Bulldogs. We think Clayton Oliver will outshine everyone in this market.

Bet: Clayton Oliver @ $3 Bet @ Sportsbet

Total Points – Over 154.5

Grand finals can be tighter games, but we think Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs will come with an offensive mindset.

154.5 points isn’t a high number, and we see the final around the 85-76 mark. That would see the over 154.5 hit nicely for punters.

It has been an even spread of money for this market. Punters often don’t know what to expect with the total points, but with conditions being ideal for running football, we expect the attacking of both teams to be on fire this Saturday.

Bet: Over 154.5 points @ $1.88 Bet @ Sportsbet

Most Goals – Max Gawn

Melbourne’s big man had no problem scoring goals against the Cats in the prelim final. He had an incredible five-goal game, which could be repeated.

Gawn is a player who plays well when he’s hot, so we’re surprised by the $23 available in the most goals market.

There are other players who are better at scoring goals in bunches, but his confidence is up, and he could put himself into the thick of the action again.

Leading the market is Ben Brown, who is a good saver bet at $4.50. Brown scored two against the Cats, but is capable of many more.

Another pick we like, especially for Bulldogs’ backers is Cody Weightman. He was forced to miss the game against Port Adelaide due to concussion, but he could bounce back in fine style.

Bet: Max Gawn @ $23 Bet @ Sportsbet

Winning Margin – Melbourne 1-24

We can’t see the final being a blowout from either side, and because we think Melbourne wins, we’re happy with the 1-24 option.

The current favourite is Melbourne 25+ at $3, and although they’re capable of scoring big, it should be a tight contest between two evenly-matched teams.

$3.10 is available for Melbourne 1-24 and we’re confident with his exotic pick.

Bet: Melbourne 1-24 @ $3 Bet @ Sportsbet

Demons vs Bulldogs BYO Picks

Sportsbet has many BYO options available and there is excellent value to be snapped up.

Our favourite is Melbourne to kick 2+ goals in every quarter. It’s not always the easiest option to take, but we are confident with Melbourne showed its offensive prowess.

Punters get $2.30 for this option, so it’s well worth taking.

For something paying a little less, we like Bailey Smith, Marcus Bontempelli, Petracca and Oliver to kick 4+ goal combined. It should be a good thing, and punters get $1.53 to enjoy.

It’s a generous betting line from Sportsbet, and we expect the odds to firm on game day.

We also like the Norm Smith Medal to be won by either Petracca, Oliver, Bontempelli, Libertore or Smith. It pays $1.80, and punters get a good array of players. There is risk that another player has a huge game, but the odds are in punters’ favour.

Our final AFL Grand Final exotic bet is Melbourne win, Melbourne most goals and Melbourne player wins the Norm Smith. This option pays $2, so there is plenty of value, and the Norm Smith Medal winner should come from the winning team.
