AFL Live Streaming
The AFL season is here and you’ll need to know where you can watch the best entertainment in Australian sports.
There are multiple ways to keep up-to-date with the AFL games, you can live stream, watch on TV, or listen in on the radio. We look at the best places to watch and listen to the 2020 AFL regular season and finals games.
How to live stream AFL
The best and newest avenue for AFL live streaming is Kayo. It’s the ultimate sports live streaming service, which provides customers with every AFL game live and on-demand.
A live streaming service customised for Australians, Kayo is your chance to live stream all AFL games without needing to search around for a trusted service. It only requires a monthly payment and you’re set to watch all the sport you wish.
Fans can also watch AFL using the Foxtel App. It’s free if you already have a Foxtel subscription and Foxtel Now is a great way to watch the big game on the run.
Alternatively, you can watch every AFL game at AFL Live Pass. It has every game streamed for desktop, Android, and iOS users. However, it is the more expensive option compared to the likes of Kayo. It costs around $90 for a yearly subscription.
How to watch AFL on TV
If you’re living in Australia, you can watch AFL games on Foxtel. It doesn’t include the Grand Final, but every other game is live and available in high definition.
Free-to-air games are available on Channel 7, which has the rights to broadcast four games per week. The games differ from week-to-week but you should expect to see the biggest games of the week shown on free TV.
Viewers in Victoria, Tasmania, and Northern Territory will often get the same schedule. However, fans in South Australia and Western Australia usually get games involving their local teams like Fremantle and Port Adelaide.
New Zealand AFL fans have been getting more coverage over the last few years. Sky Sport NZ has some games live throughout the year, so check your local listings.
For people outside of Australia and New Zealand, it’s best to use Watch AFL. It’s a subscription-based platform that is relatively cheap for a 12-month sub.

How to listen to AFL on the radio
It’s great to watch the AFL, but if radio is your best option, here are some options.
Downloading the AFL app is a good way to listen to all the games. It’s available at the App Store or Google Play and it lets you choose your favourite broadcaster before every game.
Alternatively, head to the official AFL website (AFL.com.au) where you can also listen to live games for free from a variety of broadcasters so you can always listen to your favourite commentary team.
If you’re still listening to sport on your wireless radio, the coverage will be dependent on your local stations. We suggest contacting your local sport station to ask about their coverage of the 2020 AFL season.
