AFL Round 10 2026 Expert Tips & Predictions

The AFL continues this week with Round 10 action, starting with Brisbane vs. Geelong on Thursday night.

We have AFL betting tips for every game in 2026, including this week’s featured games between Sydney vs. Collingwood, Melbourne vs. Hawthorn, and Essendon vs. Fremantle.

Thursday 14/5/26

7:30pm Brisbane vs. Geelong @ Gabba

Betting Tip: Brisbane –14.5 @ $1.90

Brisbane is tough to beat at home, and although they took the foot off the gas last week against Carlton, the win was never in doubt.

The Lions will need to be good against Geelong, with the Cats scoring a big win over Collingwood, but this will be a different contest, and it favours the home side.

Take Brisbane to cover the –14.5 spread to start the week.

7:30pm Sydney vs. Collingwood @ SCG

Betting Tip: Sydney –28.5 @ $1.90

Sydney leads the competition after another quality performance, and the Swans should have too much scoring power for Collingwood to keep up.

The Magpies were decimated by Geelong last week, and there hasn’t been enough consistency from them to recommend. They have struggled with consistency, and it could snowball into a losing streak.

8:10pm Gold Coast vs. Port Adelaide @ TIO Stadium

Betting Tip: Port Adelaide +26.5 @ $1.90

There isn’t much respect for Port Adelaide against Gold Coast, but getting +26.5 is too good to turn down.

They were narrowly beaten against the Western Bulldogs last week, losing right at the death, but they should be encouraged by that performance.

It won’t be easy, but we’re taking the underdogs to make a game of it.

Saturday 16/5/26

1:15pm Adelaide vs. North Melbourne @ Adelaide Oval

Betting Tip: Adelaide -18.5 @ $1.90

We have backed North Melbourne for most of the season, and they have rarely let us down, but we’re not thrilled by the +18.5 line.

After losing narrowly to Sydney, the number of close performances could take their toll against Adelaide, and they could get blown off the field.

Betting on the Crows at Adelaide Oval is a good bet, and we expect the line to move throughout the week.

4:15pm Melbourne vs. Hawthorn @ MCG

Betting Tip: Melbourne +20.5 @ $1.90

Melbourne is playing well enough to give Hawthorn a run for its money, especially with the Hawks coming off a tough physical loss to Fremantle.

Momentum is with Melbourne, and although the Demons haven’t been tested by the tougher teams in the competition, they are good enough to cover the +20.5 spread.

It’s a sizable line from bookmakers, and we’re jumping on the value.

7:35pm Carlton vs. Western Bulldogs @ Marvel Stadium

Betting Tip: Western Bulldogs -15.5 @ $1.90

We give Carlton credit for not throwing in the towel against Brisbane last week, but we expect the Bulldogs to score a comfortable win on Saturday night.

The Bulldogs did well to score a much-needed win over Port Adelaide last week, and they held onto their nerve late in the game. It was good to see, and it should do their confidence levels a world of good.

There has been money for Carlton, but the Bulldogs should go back-to-back.

Sunday 17/5/26

1:10pm Essendon vs. Fremantle @ MCG

Betting Tip: Fremantle -34.5 @ $1.90

Punters have cashed with Essendon recently, but despite pushing good teams close, Fremantle should score an easy win on Sunday afternoon.

The Dockers are a team that can turn a deficit quickly into a big lead, and that could happen against Essendon. If the Bombers don’t defend well all game, they could put the sword in the blink of an eye.

We’re going with the more consistent team and locking in Fremantle –34.5.

3:15pm St Kilda vs. Richmond @ Marvel Stadium

Betting Tip: Richmond +41.5 @ $1.90

Richmond showed enough against Adelaide to suggest that it can cover the +41.5 spread against St Kilda.

We wouldn’t typically bet on a team like the Tigers, especially against a St Kilda team with many quality players, but the Tigers could make a game of it.

It’s a big line to cover, and although we have St Kilda winning, the final score could be around 100-70.

6:15pm West Coast vs. GWS @ Optus Stadium

Betting Tip: GWS –30.5 @ $1.90

We didn’t expect to see GWS languishing in 13th spot on the AFL ladder, so it’s a crucial game for their season on Sunday.

They are the firm favourites to hammer the West Coast Eagles, and given how poorly West Coast is playing, we can’t see them putting up much of a fight.

Include GWS –30.5 in AFL multis this week.
