The AFL continues this week with Round 16 action, starting with Brisbane vs. Sydney on Thursday night.
We have AFL betting tips for every game in 2026, including this week’s featured games between
Thursday 25/6/26
Getting $2 for Sydney against any opposition is a good price, and we’re latching onto it.
They need to beat the defending champions, but Brisbane is playing well below its best at eighth on the AFL ladder, and playing at home hasn’t been a great advantage to them.
The Swans could dominate possession and the scoreboard, so take the odds before money comes for the visitors throughout the week.

Hawthorn keeps delivering for punters, and we don’t think they’re getting the respect they deserve in betting markets.
We priced them at –30.5 against GWS, which has fallen to 13th on the ladder, and we can’t see the GIANTS improving enough to give the Hawks much trouble.
We’re taking the –20.5 line and including Hawthorn in our AFL multi bets this week.

Saturday 27/6/26
We snapped up the generous odds for Carlton to beat GWS last week and they didn’t let us down, so we’re backing them again.
They’re still out of a playoff position, but the Blues have played better than most teams over the last few weeks, and they should continue their run with an easy win over West Coast, who once again find themselves battling for the wooden spoon.
Carlton at its best would put 50 on the Eagles, so include them in AFL picks.

Collingwood is still on the outside looking in past the halfway mark, but they played well last week, and they get an easy game on Saturday afternoon.
Richmond is living up to expectations with another tough year, and they’re already starting to plan their offseason holidays.
This is a game Collingwood should have in safe keeping at halftime, so the –36.5 line is fair from bookmakers.

Adelaide had to battle back against Melbourne last week, but they got the job done for punters, and they should take care of Port Adelaide.
We expected more from the Power last week against Collingwood, but they didn’t fire a shot on attack. That’s not a good sign against an aggressive Adelaide midfield, which will pressure them throughout the game.
The –18.5 line is lower than expected, so include Adelaide in AFL selections.

Sunday 28/6/26
We had to do a double take when looking at the spread for this game. North Melbourne is pushing for a playoff spot and Essendon is hoping to get off the bottom of the table.
We expect North Melbourne to be far too good for Essendon on Sunday afternoon, and we priced the Kangaroos at –26.5. It’s a favourable line for punters, and we expect it to move throughout the week.
Improvement could come for Essendon over the next few weeks, but we don’t think they’re competitive enough to handle the Roos.
North Melbourne by 28
Fremantle is the best team in the competition, and they keep exceeding expectations. Therefore, there is no reason to jump off their backs against Gold Coast.
We have Gold Coast in the overrated category, and after falling outside the top eight, we can’t see them getting back in. They were handled by Hawthorn at home last week, and they don’t have enough defence to stop the top teams.
It should be a comfortable win for Fremantle to close out the round.
