Only three wins separate first from eighth on the AFL premiership ladder and that should make for some exciting footy to be played over the final rounds.
Richmond lead the way with 14 wins from 18 games and they kick off a bumper card on Friday when taking on the Geelong Cats.
It promises to be an exciting week of AFL football and we have free expert tips and odds available.
7:50pm Richmond Tigers vs. Geelong Cats @ MCG
This is looming as an important game for the Cats, which are fending off the challengers to hold on to eighth spot on the ladder but it’s also important for the Tigers.
The best side in the league to date, the Tigers will want to reward themselves with a top of the table finish and scoring a win over the Cats will take them a long way to achieving that goal. The Cats will be wanting to stop them in their tracks after scoring a good win last start.
Beating the Lions 120-78 was exactly what the doctor ordered for the Cats and we think they can keep this game close in what could be a Friday night blockbuster.

1:45pm Hawthorn Hawks vs. Essendon Bombers @ MCG
It has been quite a season for the Essendon Bombers to date but they still find themselves outside of the top eight and in danger of missing the playoffs. That would be a shame for a club which has scored some notable wins this season.
That includes a 109-66 win over the Swans last Friday night and beating the Hawks this week would continue their form, but the Hawks are also coming off an impressive win and are trending in the right direction.
The 112-53 win over the Dockers was a solid effort against inferior opposition and they will be gearing up for a big effort as the slight underdogs this week.

2:10pm Brisbane Lions vs. North Melbourne Kangaroos @ Gabba
The punters knew something last week when backing in the Kangaroos strongly to upset the West Coast Eagles and it paid off. The 81-41 win was a good sign for the Kangaroos and bookmakers have them as slight favourites this week.
Facing the Lions will make life easier for them, but the Lions have showed better form over the last few weeks. They were well-handled by the Cats last week but that had looked better in the weeks prior and they could push the Kangaroos close.
We’re smelling a home upset here.

4:35pm Adelaide Crows vs. Port Adelaide Power @ Adelaide Oval
It’s hard to know which team is travelling better but we have to give the slight nod to the Port Adelaide Power, which at least sit in fourth position on the ladder.
They haven’t looked overly impressive in recent weeks, despite winning 78-34 last week, but the bookmakers have them as only slight favourites and that tells the true story.
It’s been even more for Adelaide, which are a shadow of the team that made the final last year. They lost to the Demons 90-77 last week and we can’t see that form changing any time soon.
Betting tip: Port Adelaide to win @ $1.79 (BET NOW)

7:25pm St Kilda Saints vs. Western Bulldogs @ Etihad Stadium
This won’t excite punters overly much on Saturday night but at least the market is relatively open and punters are getting good odds.
Both teams are coming off losses in Round 19 but the Saints looked marginally better in their loss to the GWS Giants, so we’ll give them the nod here.
The Bulldogs haven’t been inspiring much this season and playing away from home will only make it harder for them to pull off the minor upset.
Betting tip: St Kilda to win @ $1.70 (BET NOW)

7:25pm Sydney Swans vs. Collingwood Magpies @ SCG
This will be cracking game to close a big Saturday of action as the Swans and Magpies look to bounce back after poor defeats last week.
The Swans lost on Friday night to the Bombers 109-66 and the Magpies were equally as poor when losing to the Tigers 105-77. Both teams need to return to form but the Swans need it more and they’re currently outside of a playoff-bearing position.
That could be enough to see them get over the line against the Magpies but we have respect for Collingwood, who have dangerous players across the park.
Betting tip: Sydney to win @ $1.87 (BET NOW)

1:10pm Carlton Blues vs. GWS Giants @ Etihad Stadium
The Giants are heavy favourites to take down Carlton and it’s tough to disagree with bookmakers in this situation.
Greater Western Sydney are sitting in fifth position on the ladder after beating the Saints last week and although the Blues were good winners over the Suns last week, it’s about to get much harder.
GWS are $1.08 with bookmakers and this should be a blowout.
Betting tip: GWS –46.5 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)

3:20pm Melbourne Demons vs. Gold Coast Suns @ MCG
Melbourne are the shortest-priced favourites of the week and with good reason. This should be an easy win for the playoff-bound team which scored a much-needed win over the Crows last week.
The Suns are not in the playoff hunt, as the $11 odds suggest and it would take a brave punter to back them in the head-to-head market this week.
Bookmakers have the line set at 62.5, which is a mighty line to cover and despite their lack of ability, that could sway us in favour of the Suns.
Betting tip: Gold Coast +62.5 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)

4:40pm West Coast Eagles vs. Fremantle Dockers @ Optus Stadium
An easy game is exactly what the Eagles need this week after suffering a poor loss to the North Melbourne Kangaroos last week.
The 81-41 loss was their worst of the season and it wasn’t representative of a team going places this season but they can make amends by scoring a win over the Dockers.
Fremantle suffered another loss on a dismal season last week and this is shaping up as a repeat result for the away side.
