The AFL continues this week with Round 6 action, starting with Carlton vs. Collingwood on Thursday night.
We have AFL betting tips for every game in 2026, including this week’s featured games between Geelong vs. Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn vs. Port Adelaide, and Adelaide vs. St. Kilda.
Thursday 16/4/26
We bet against Collingwood last week with good success, but the Magpies are tipped to rebound with a win over Carlton to kick off the round.
Carlton has struggled to show its best in 2026, and the loss of Charlie Curnow is starting to show. They lack that scoring punch, and the Magpies could dominate in the middle of the field before setting up goal scoring opportunities.
Covering a –14.5 line won’t be hard if Collingwood is near its best.

It was good seeing Geelong back to its best last week with an easy win over West Coast, especially after losing by one point to Hawthorn on Easter Monday.
They should have more confidence than the Western Bulldogs, who lost heavily to Hawthorn last week, and bouncing back could prove difficult against last year’s grand finalists.
The –10.5 line is worth taking for the home side.

We like what the Swans are doing this season, and they should have no fears of losing to GWS.
It has been a slow start to the year for the Giants, who sit in 12th spot on the AFL ladder, and we don’t see their position improving for the next few weeks.
Sydney should have too much class at home, and our AFL predictions this week have them winning by 40+ points.

We took the points with Essendon last week, and we wish we had something on them to win outright against Melbourne.
It was a comprehensive win from a struggling team, and although Gold Coast is a stiffer test, with momentum on their side, the Bombers are good enough to cover the big spread.
Getting 45.5 following a win is too good to turn down for the underdogs.
Gold Coast by 38
The Hawks have clicked into gear, and their Easter Monday win over Geelong could be the catalyst for a big few months.
They scored an easy win last week against an inferior opponent, and with Port Adelaide losing to St Kilda at home last week, we don’t have much confidence in them.
The Hawks can put on points quickly, so covering the –41.5 line shouldn’t be worrisome.
Hawthorn by 51
Punters who stuck with Adelaide got paid last week, and back-to-back wins could be possible against the visiting St Kilda Saints.
There is nothing wrong with how St Kilda is playing, including a win last week, but the Crows won’t get a better chance to post consecutive wins at home.
We have them scoring by around 20 points, so the –15.5 line is worth including in AFL picks this week.

Sunday 19/4/26
One of our better AFL bets of the week is North Melbourne –25.5. They have improved sharply this season, and the Tigers are still playing bad footy.
That should be enough for the Kangaroos to put up a big total, and we expect money to move the line to around –28.5 throughout the week.
Bet on the Kangaroos with confidence.

We expected Brisbane to be priced at around –32.5 for this game, especially given how poorly Melbourne played when losing to Essendon last week.
It wasn’t a good performance from the Demons, who can’t seem to play consistent footy, and last year’s AFL champions should put up a big number on them.
We’re snapping up the line before it moves during the week.

West Coast, after showing signs of life earlier this year, are back to their usual selves, and that should result in a heavy loss to Fremantle.
The Dockers have started well, and although they often find trouble later in the year, they sit comfortably in second place after another strong win.
The last two games have been close wins, but they should pump the Eagles on Sunday.
