The AFL continues this week with Round 7 action, starting with Western Bulldogs vs. Sydney on Thursday night.
We have AFL betting tips for every game in 2026, including this week’s featured games between Hawthorn vs. Gold Coast, Fremantle vs. Carlton, and Brisbane vs. Adelaide.
Thursday 23/4/26
The Bulldogs and Swans are trending in different directions, and it should result in Sydney scoring a comfortable win on Thursday night.
They might be playing on the road, but after scoring another easy win last week, they should be confident in their ability to cover big spreads.
They sit perched on the top spot on the AFL ladder, and we have them staying there for some time.

Friday 24/4/26
Melbourne scored a narrow win over Brisbane last week, which will do its confidence a world of good, especially when coming up against the worst team in the comp.
Richmond would have lost the few admirers they had left with a heavy loss to North Melbourne in Round 6, and we’re not interested in betting on the Tigers, even at +37.5.
Take the Demons to come away with another victory in a surprising season so far.

Saturday 25/4/26
It was a close game for Hawthorn last week against Port Adelaide, but they came through the potential scare with the points.
They will need more focus to cover the –9.5 spread against a Gold Coast team hoping to kick better than they did against Essendon, after missing numerous chances to kick goals.
Playing in Tasmania helps Hawthorn, which should score a quality victory.
Hawthorn by 16
Our AFL tips have cashed with Essendon in the last two weeks, and we’re not about to jump off their backs.
They almost scored a huge upset over Gold Coast last week as +45.5 favourites. It was a good game from the Bombers, who kicked well, and a repeat would be enough to take Collingwood close on Saturday afternoon.
The +18.5 line isn’t as big as expected, but Essendon has earned respect with bookmakers.
Essendon by 10
The Power almost pulled off a big upset over Hawthorn last week, and although falling just short, it should give them confidence.
Taking on Geelong doesn’t make life any easier, but we are keen on taking Port Adelaide with a sizable +28.5 start. That’s a lot of points for a team that plays well at Adelaide Oval.
Money could come for the Power late in the week, so take the opening line.
Geelong by 14
There is nothing going well for Carlton, which is now dealing with controversy surrounding Elijah Hollands.
It’s not a good look for the struggling team, and we don’t see Fremantle letting up against their opponents on Saturday night, and AFL odds agree with a –36.5 line.
It’s a big line to cover, but these teams are heading in opposite directions.
Fremantle by 44
Sunday 26/4/26
After a good start to the year, the West Coast Eagles have reverted to their losing ways, and it’s not pretty.
They’re coming off some big losses, and although St Kilda isn’t usually a team you would back to cover a –39.5 line, they should cover with ease in this situation.
A big win by the home team is expected to kick off action on Sunday.
St Kilda by 45
We expected better from Brisbane last week when losing to Melbourne, and they don’t have the same edge as they did last season.
Adelaide hasn’t been at its best either, but the Crows did well to score a comeback win last week, and that should give them confidence.
A close game is expected, so we’re locking in the underdogs with the points.
Brisbane by 7
We are loving what North Melbourne is producing this season, and although GWS on the road is a tough matchup, they could keep it close.
It was good seeing the Kangaroos score a blowout win over Richmond, and they needed it. Beating the bad teams is key to having success, and GWS is 14th on the AFL ladder, so they haven’t been good so far.
Another close game is expected on Sunday.
