gobet carlton vs collingwood afl tips

We have Carlton vs. Collingwood predictions for AFL Round 6 on Thursday, April 16 at 7:30pm at the MCG.

Kicking off the round is Carlton vs. Collingwood, where most of the money has come for the Magpies to take flight.

Best Bet

Collingwood –14.5 @ $1.90

Scoring only 39 points last week wasn’t ideal, but the 45-39 loss to Fremantle was an encouraging performance from Collingwood.

It was a tough defensive game, and if Collingwood bring the same level of pressure against Carlton, the Blues could be in for a long night. Carlton doesn’t play well when the pressure goes on, as they have shown in their last three losses.

Their only win this season came by four points over the hapless Tigers, and with Collingwood owning wins over St Kilda and GWS, there is far more upside with the –14.5 favourites, who should win and cover the spread.

We expect the line to move to around –17.5 on game day, so snap up the current AFL spread before it changes.

Same Game Multi

Collingwood –14.5, Daniel McStay 2+ Goals, Lachie Schultz 2+ Goals, Total Points Under 164.5 @ $9.00

Our AFL same game multi picks have Daniel McStay and Lachie Schultz scoring 2+ goals. McStay had only one goal last week, but that followed six goals in his previous two games, and conditions should be better for kicking on Thursday night.

Schultz has only two goals from his last three games, but it followed a strong start to the year. He had four goals in a two-game span, and with Carlton’s defence struggling, he should get every chance of kicking a double at generous $2.08 odds.

Under 164.5 points is worth including in AFL predictions this week. Carlton scored only 59 points in their last meeting against Collingwood, and it could be a similar score.

Best Value Bet

Collingwood 40+ @ $3.75

Punters get value odds for Collingwood to win by 40+ points. They won by 56 points in their 2025 meeting at the MCG, and we don’t think Carlton has improved this season.

It’s surprising to see the line at only –14.5, but that’s mostly because of Collingwood’s performance last week. However, a big bounce back effort is expected to kick things off this week, and $3.75 to win by 40+ points is a value bet.
