Geelong is showing why it made the AFL Grand Final last season. They didn’t start well, but after posting four consecutive wins over the Kangaroos, Magpies, Lions, and Swans, they’re now one of the teams to beat.

Their 107-80 win over Sydney last week showcased how good Geelong can be, and although Carlton has looked better with wins over the Bulldogs and Power, they’re not at the same level as the Cats, who have title ambitions.

Carlton is 0-10 in their last 10 matches against top eight teams, which doesn’t bode well, and although they’re 2-0 against Geelong in their last two meetings, the teams have changed considerably since. Therefore, we have Geelong covering the –24.5 spread, which is lower than expected.
