We priced St Kilda at –26.5, so we’re surprised by the current line available at the sportsbook, and we’re jumping on it.

The Saints come off a massive 143-42 win over the West Coast Eagles, and although the level of opposition wasn’t strong, they couldn’t have played much better, which does their confidence plenty of good.

Confidence has been tough to come by for Carlton, which is riding a losing streak, and although they were competitive against Fremantle, it wasn’t enough to notch a win. Two close losses could be tough to bounce back from, and St Kilda is a team that can score points quickly.

We’re loving the –14.5 line, and it’s one of our best AFL bets this week.

Higgins pays $2.30 to kick 3+ goals, having kicked nine goals in his last two games. We expect Higgins to continue his fine form against Carlton. Sharman kicked two goals last week, so the $1.75 odds are worth including.

Our final score prediction has St Kilda winning 112-72, and including over 180.5 provides a good boost to AFL same game multi odds.

Carlton is in the middle of a spiral, and although they were competitive against Collingwood and Fremantle, things could get out of hand against a Saints team with plenty of upside.

Playing at night doesn’t help Carlton, which has lost its last eight night games at Marvel Stadium, so that adds confidence to our value pick.
