Fremantle –10.5 @ $1.90

It’s tough to stop Fremantle when it’s on a roll, and although scraping home to beat Adelaide last week, it was the Dockers’ third consecutive win.

They have now beaten Melbourne, Richmond, and Adelaide, with the wins over Melbourne and Richmond coming easily. They looked excellent for the first three quarters against Adelaide before hitting the wall late.

However, they have a good team on paper, and Fremantle is tough to beat when confidence levels are high. They’re not too high for Collingwood, which comes off a 119-65 loss to Brisbane, which was a tough loss to stomach following a win over GWS.

Our AFL predictions this week have Fremantle getting off to a fast start and never letting their foot off the gas in the second half. The –10.5 line is generous given the projection of these teams, so include it in picks.

Jye Amiss has six goals from his last two games, including four against Richmond and two against Adelaide last week. His odds of $1.76 to kick 2+ goals is a good price, so include him in Collingwood vs. Fremantle same game multi picks.

Josh Treacy is Fremantle’s leading scorer with 12 goals. He had consecutive four-goal performances against Melbourne and Richmond, and although Collingwood’s defence is better, it allowed 119 points against Brisbane last week. Take Treacy to kick 3+ goals on Friday.

That’s why we’re including over 176.5 points in our multi bet. The final score could be around 106-79, so it’s a lower line than expected from bookmakers.

It will take a big effort from Fremantle to win by 40+ points, but we’re happy to take the risk given the odds.

They had a big lead against Adelaide last week before getting tired, but with those kinks ironed out, they could put Collingwood to the sword and subject the Magpies to consecutive heavy losses.

The $4.10 odds make it a value AFL bet.
