Collingwood vs. Richmond Predictions – AFL Round 16 2026

We have Collingwood vs. Richmond predictions for AFL Round 16 on Saturday, June 27 at 4:15pm at the MCG.

Collingwood are the short favourites to beat Richmond, and it would take a brave punter to bet against the Magpies.

Best Bet

Collingwood 1-39 @ $2.35

Punters get better value backing Collingwood 1-39 compared to the –37.5 line. They come off a good win over Port Adelaide, but they haven’t been beating teams by big margins in 2026.

We’re not giving Richmond much credit, but their last two losses to Brisbane and North Melbourne came by 1-39 margins, and they also lost to St Kilda by 36 points in Round 10. We have a similar scoreline expected for this contest, which Collingwood should dominate.

The Magpies could be far too good for Richmond, as expected, but there is a lot of risk with the –37.5 line. Despite Richmond having lost their last 10 games at the MCG, that doesn’t encompass the spread, and they could do enough to keep it close.

Take the better odds for what we think is less risk. The $2.35 odds are better than expected, and it’s our best bet for this game.

Same Game Multi

Collingwood 1-39, Nick Daicos 2+ Goals, Jordan De Goey 2+ Goals, Total Points Over 170.5 @ $13.50

Nick Daicos has kicked 2+ goals in three of his last five games. He could have a big outing against Richmond’s defence, and he could dominate in the midfield. The $1.70 odds are good enough to include in AFL SGM picks.

Jordan De Goey has turned his form around with five goals from his last two games. He’s an in-form player for the Magpies, and the $1.95 odds are too good to leave out.

It’s usually a low-scoring affair, but we have Richmond playing better than usual at the MCG. It could be a free-flowing game with plenty of points.

Best Value Bet

Sam Swadling First Goal Scorer @ $26.00

It might be a tall order for Sam Swadling to kick the first goal, but we’re happy to risk it given the odds.

He made a dream debut for Collingwood last week when kicking a goal, and although there is less risk with the $2.03 to kick a goal, he could get the game started on a high with the first goal.

Swadling first goal scorer at $26 is worth including in AFL picks this week.
