Essendon vs. Fremantle Predictions – AFL Round 10 2026

We have Essendon vs. Fremantle predictions for AFL Round 10 on Sunday, May 17 at 1:10pm at the MCG.

Fremantle looks to extend its winning streak to nine games, which should prove difficult against the Bombers.

Best Bet

Fremantle –34.5 @ $1.90

We have backed Essendon most weeks this season but now could be the time to jump off their backs after four consecutive losses.

They played well to keep it close against GWS last week, but the loss won’t help their attitude, and their tough style of play could come to an end against a ruthless Dockers outfit.

We like what Fremantle is doing, and after pulling off a tough win over Hawthorn. They should be ready to put up a big score on the Bombers. We have them winning by 40+ points, and their latest meeting was a 104-63 win, so that’s a good form guide.

Credit Essendon for hanging in there, but we predict a one-sided game to start action on Sunday. They are showing no signs of slowing down, and they should lead from the outset.

Same Game Multi

Fremantle –34.5, Josh Treacy 3+ Goals, Patrick Voss 2+ Goals, Total Points Over 175.5 @ $8.50

Josh Treacy continued his good form with two goals last week, which made it eight goals from his last three games. He could capitalise on the Bombers’ defence, and the $1.96 odds for 3+ goals are in the shorter region for a reason.

Patrick Voss is a player we like including in AFL multi bets. He might have only one goal from his last two games, but he should get himself into the action more this week. $2 for 2+ goals is a price worth including.

We have Fremantle scoring plenty of points, which should be enough to cash over 175.5 points.

Best Value Bet

Sam Switkowski 2+ Goals @ $5.75

We expect Fremantle’s players to get every chance to kick goals against Essendon, and Sam Switkowski could chime in with a double.

He kicked three goals against the Bulldogs, which came out of nowhere, but he could repeat that effort at big odds.

The $5.75 odds are worth including as a value bet, and Fremantle could get offence from players who you don’t expect to see on the scoring sheet.
