We have given Essendon a lot of chances this season, but after losing to North Melbourne last week, we can’t find room for them in our AFL predictions this week.

St Kilda isn’t playing much better after posting four losses from their last five games. However, they have faced harder teams during that span. They lost to Fremantle, Hawthorn, and Sydney before beating Gold Coast, and that’s a tough schedule.

They dropped to 13th on the AFL ladder following a loss to the Western Bulldogs in Round 15, but they have a bye week under their belts, and they should be too good for a struggling Essendon team on Sunday.

Essendon is 0-19 in its last 19 matches in Victoria, which isn’t a good look, and we expect St Kilda to capitalise with a comprehensive victory.
