We have Geelong vs. Brisbane predictions for AFL Grand Final on Saturday September 27 at 4:30pm at the MCG.
The Lions look to become the first team since Hawthorn in 2014 to win consecutive AFL titles, but standing in their way are the red-hot Cats, who are the overwhelming $1.50 favourites to cap off their season with the title.
Geelong vs. Brisbane Predictions

Best Bet
We backed Geelong and Brisbane to win last week, so this is a tough call. However, with Brisbane not likely to have Lachie Neale at their disposal, they could be exposed in the middle of the park.
Neale could be a game-time decision, but even if he does play, he could be limited in his movement. That could allow Geelong to play aggressively, and as they showed last week against Hawthorn, they love a tough battle.
It was an excellent come-from-behind win against the Hawks after trailing by 21 points early. Patrick Dangerfield and Tyson Stengle produced the goods with three goals, and Jeremy Cameron did his thing with three goals as well.
It’s a well-oiled machine, and although the Cats lose Tom Stewart, which is a big blow, we expect them to measure up and win the Grand Final. They are the $1.50 favourites and –12.5 with spread betting, and although Brisbane should hang around in the first quarter, Geelong’s size and strength should be too much.
Back Geelong to best the defending champions with their best display in 2025.

Same Game Multi
We locked in the value for Cameron to score 3+ goals last week and he didn’t let us down. There’s no reason to doubt the rangy Cats forward, who could dominate the smaller defenders in the forward 50. Cameron has 13 goals from his last five games, and he’s the biggest threat to score in the AFL Grand Final.
We’re also including Mark Blicavs to make 6+ tackles. The Cats player is about as versatile as it gets, and he made an incredible 11 tackles against Hawthorn. With Geelong likely to up the pressure, he should have another big game. Punters get $1.79 for Blivacs 6+ tackles, and it’s worth including in AFL Grand Final SGM picks.
Over 170.5 is worth including, especially after they combined for 186 points when meeting earlier this month. Geelong won 112-74, which is also a good form guide for the overall winner.

Best Value Bet
The ageless wonder was at his best last week, and punters should expect another massive game from the Cats leader on Saturday afternoon.
Patrick Dangerfield is on the second line of betting behind teammate Bailey Smith to win the Norm Smith Medal, who is also a good chance, but given the occasion and his experience, Dangerfield should have the bigger game.
He knows what it takes to lead his team around the field, and that should be enough to earn him the honours should Geelong win.
