Geelong vs. West Coast Predictions – AFL Round 5 2026

We have Geelong vs. West Coast predictions for AFL Round 5 on Sunday, April 12 at 12:30pm at Norwood Oval.

Most of the early money has come for Geelong to hand West Coast another heavy loss, and it could pay to follow the money.

Best Bet

Geelong –45.5 @ $1.90

Geelong looks to rebound after an Easter Monday loss to Hawthorn, which was tough to stomach. They had a six-point lead with just over a minute remaining, but the best way to bounce back is by beating West Coast with ease.

After a good start to the year, the Eagles came back down to earth with a crushing 163-35 loss to the Swans last week. That was the Eagles of old, and it could see them spiral down the AFL ladder, especially when playing teams like Geelong.

Covering a –45.5 spread isn’t easy, but we expect them to get out of the blocks running, and they could win by 50-60 points.

Same Game Multi

Geelong -45.5, Shannon Neale 3+ Goals, Jack Martin 2+ Goals, Total Match Points Under 192.5 @ $8.00

Shannon Neale has nine goals in his last three games, including five goals against the Dockers and four goals last week against Hawthorn. He’s playing well, and punters get $1.91 for him to score 3+ goals against a bad West Coast defence.

Jack Martin kicked three goals against Adelaide, and although he kicked only one goal last week, he’s a quality player worth including in AFL picks this week.

We’re backing under 192.5 points based on West Coast’s lack of scoring power. They scored only 35 points last week, and if they can’t score against Geelong, the same should go under 192.5 points.

Best Value Bet

Brady Hough 20+ Disposals @ $4.60

There is value with backing Brady Hough 20+ disposals, where punters get a healthy $4.60 from bookmakers.

The West Coast player had 21 disposals last week against the Swans, and he could be kept busy again. It was the second time in his last five games of having 20+ disposals, so he’s going under the radar with AFL betting markets. Hough will get plenty of action, and the 23-year-old has only upside. It’s tough to find value for West Coast players, but Hough should be included in picks.
