Hawthorn vs. Gold Coast Predictions – AFL Round 7 2026

We have Hawthorn vs. Gold Coast predictions for AFL Round 7 on Saturday, April 25 at 12:30pm at UTAS Stadium in Tasmania.

One of the best games of the week kicks off ANZAC Day, and it should be an excellent game between two good teams.

Best Bet

Hawthorn –9.5 @ $1.90

Hawthorn continued its winning streak last week with a tough win over Port Adelaide, and although it wasn’t their finest performance, they got the points.

Gold Coast is 0-8 in its last eight games in Tasmania, and we love betting on Hawthorn when it plays in Tassie. That’s part of the reason why we’re locking in Hawthorn –9.5 this week, and we believe they are the stronger team.

Gold Coast didn’t kick well last week against Essendon, in a game that was much closer than what it should have been. They were –44.5 favourites and won by only nine points, so their confidence levels aren’t high, and we predict Hawthorn jumping all over them early to set up a big win.

Same Game Multi

Hawthorn –9.5, Nick Watson 2+ Goals, Jarman Impey 25+ Disposals, Total Points Over 180.5 @ $8.75

Nick Watson had his best game for some time when kicking five goals against Port, and punters get $1.72 for him to kick 2+ goals this week. Watson doesn’t always follow a big game with another, but he should get every chance to convert his opportunities.

Jarman Impey had 23 disposals last week, and he should get plenty of action again. He recorded back-to-back games with 26 disposals against Geelong and Western Bulldogs, so he’s playing well, and punters get $2.07 from bookmakers.

A high-scoring game is expected, so include over 180.5 points in AFL same game multi picks. They combined for 200 points in their meeting last May, which is a good form guide.

Best Value Bet

Nick Watson 3+ Goals @ $3.25

Punters should take the value with Watson, who should be ready to produce the goods after a standout performance against Port.

He had the ball on a string with five goals last week, and although we don’t expect him to kick five goals again, he should insert himself into the offence.

The $3.25 odds are better than expected for 3+ goals, so lock in the value.
