St Kilda vs. Sydney Predictions

Best Bet

Sydney –8.5 @ $1.90

Sydney doesn’t have a good recent record over St Kilda, but we don’t have much faith in the Saints after losing four consecutive games.

They’re not playing well recently, and with Sydney back in form after beating Fremantle, it could make another run at the finals. It did the same last year when making the AFL Final and sitting in 10th on the ladder isn’t where they want to be.

A win over St Kilda is needed for Sydney to have any chance of making a run at the finals, so we’re backing them to win. The Swans have three wins from their last four games, including a win over Port Adelaide, so the form checks out, especially against a team sitting in 15th.

Take the –8.5 line before money comes for Sydney to cover the spread on the road.

Same Game Multi

Sydney -8.5, Hayden McLean 2+ Goals, Isaac Heeney 2+ Goals, Total Match Points Under 166.5 @ $14.00

We’re backing two Sydney players to score 2+ goals on Sunday, including Hayden McLean and Isaac Heeney.

McLean scored three goals last week against Fremantle, and we’re happy to stick with him at $1.90 odds. That’s a good price from bookmakers, and although we don’t expect a high-scoring game, McLean should get on the board twice.

Heeney didn’t score last week, but he had been in grand form with seven goals from his previous two games, including five goals against the Bulldogs in a losing effort. Punters get $2.25 for Heeney to score 2+ goals, which is an excellent price.

They scored 166 points last week, and AFL lines have the total at 166.5 points. It should be a lower scoring game than their 2024 meeting, so include the under.

Best Value Bet

Sydney Wire-to-Wire @ $2.50

Our AFL predictions see Sydney leading from the outset, and getting $2.50 for a wire-to-wire victory is tough to pass up.

It’s a great value bet in a game that is Sydney’s for the taking, and we would have been happy to take around $2.10 for this option.
