BetChamps uses a white-label platform provided by Punterstech. We’ve genuinely lost count of how many sites have launched in the past few years using this reputable software provider – it’s over a dozen, including brands like DashBet, Cash Cage and RipperBet.

Is BetChamps a Trustworthy Betting Site?

It certainly is. The site is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW, but the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission also regulates its activities. What’s more, Carl Millett is part of the NSW Bookmaker’s Co-operative, an organisation that guarantees payment of winning bets.

BetChamps works in partnership with the aforementioned software provider Punterstech, a company that only teams up with trustworthy, licensed and reputable betting brands. 

The platform includes a number of responsible gambling tools to help potentially vulnerable punters stay on top of their bets. If required, you can set up temporary self-exclusions ranging from one day to 12 months, or even permanently.

Review of the BetChamps Online Betting Platform 

BetChamps uses the same Punterstech platform as the many Betting Services Australia Pty Ltd brands. These include sites like BetFocus, WizBet and Star Sports Australia. If you thought it looked familiar, that’s probably why. 

Minimalist but User-friendly Design

In truth, it’s not the most feature-rich platform. Sites built on this software offer an intuitive interface that couldn’t be easier to navigate. But you won’t find cashback or live streamed games, for instance. 

These sites also tend to lack esports markets and in-play betting odds – two observations that also apply to BetChamps.

Good NRL, AFL and Boxing Odds

As you might expect, given the site’s theme, there’s a good selection of boxing odds at BetChamps. They’re competitive, too – bouts are usually priced at 106%. A few of the biggest Aussie betting sites offer slightly better value, but most do not.

That 106% figure constantly crops up for all of the country’s most popular sporting competitions. Take AFL, NRL and international T20 cricket games, for example – these win lines are priced to the same margin. 

Not many bookies can beat 106%. It’s usually just the big hitters, like TAB, Sportsbet and Unibet. But even then, their margins never dip below 105%, meaning the BetChamps odds are rarely far from the top of the market.

Soccer Odds – Not So Hot

One criticism of BetChamps is the soccer odds. We almost expect to see disappointingly high margins for A-League matches. But the UEFA Champions League and English Premier League win lines are priced around 115%, which seems greedy.

We don’t expect them to start a price war with soccer specialists like Unibet, whose EPL odds are some of the best in the country. But even relatively small and new operators like ChromaBet and MillennialBet can manage to set their prices at 109%. 

Payment Methods at BetChamps 

Next up, it’s time for our BetChamps betting site review to assess the cashier. As you’ll see below, the choice of payment methods is minimal, though the most popular options are present:

Withdrawals are usually facilitated by EFT, but may be paid to your card in certain cases. The minimum amount is $20, a little higher than the $10 deposit requirement.

Although BetChamps never quite delivered a knockout blow, with a little more work, it could one day be in contention for the championship. 

We’d like to see a few more payment options, for instance. Or at least quicker ones, to match the same-day payouts provided by other Aussie bookies. 24/7 support would also be appreciated.

However, BetChamps already has a lot going for it. The consistent odds stood out most to us when researching this review. They’re never quite at the top end of the market, but they’re rarely far away either. Only the soccer prices proved disappointing.

Overall, BetChamps is currently a middleweight offering. It’s perfectly fine, but needs a little fine tuning before it’s ready for a shot at the belt.
