Is BetDragon a Trustworthy Betting Site?

BetDragon has a licence from the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission, and its gambling operations are governed by the South Australian Gambling Codes of Practice. Like every legal Aussie bookmaker, it’s linked to the BetStop self-exclusion service.

Now we come to what is probably the most crucial part of this BetDragon review, as we discuss the odds and features. 

Starting with the latter, we’d describe the platform as “adequate”. You can build Same Race and Same Game Multis, but it doesn’t get much more advanced than that. You won’t find live streams of racing or sports, for instance. Nor can you cash out early, or even bet on esports.

That said, we do like the upcoming race ticker at the top of the screen. This can also be filtered by dogs, horses and harness racing, as well as domestic and international events.

Adequate Odds

We’re going to use that word “adequate” again, this time to describe the pricing at BetDragon. 

When it comes to AFL and NRL, the odds are quite good. Win markets are priced to 106%, in line with big-name sites like Neds and Ladbrokes, but not quite as good as TAB or Sportsbet.

For other sports, the odds are usually somewhere in the middle of the market. Major T20 cricket games, for example, are priced around 108%, which is okay, but doesn’t create odds that threaten the market leaders. Even smaller sites like Colossalbet take a lower cut, pricing matches around 106%.

Don’t get me started on the awful soccer odds, though – some of the margins are massive, ranging from 12% to 15%.

Payment Methods at BetDragon 

You’ll have no trouble moving money in and out of BetDragon, even if the choice of payment methods is a tad on the small side. You might not be able to use ewallets like PayPal or Neteller, but bank transfers, PayID and card payments are all on the table.

The minimum deposit and withdrawal limits are just $10, keeping things fair regardless of how much you have to spend. And the payout times are really quick, which is obviously one of the most important things with an online bookmaker.

Withdrawal requests are processed twice a day from Monday to Friday (11am and 4pm) and once on Saturdays (11am). As such, same-day payouts are theoretically possible, but you’ll normally get the money within 24 hours.
