BetReal is based on PuntersTech software, a user-friendly white label platform that’s also used by sites like Betfocus, Star Sports Australia and Teambet.

Is BetReal a Trustworthy Betting Site?

Yes, we can safely say that BetReal is trustworthy. Not only is it licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW, but it’s also regulated by the New South Wales Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission. 

In addition, the business adheres to the South Australian Gambling Codes of Practice, and is a member of the NSW Bookmakers Co‑Operative.

Although we’re not sure who’s running Crownsport Aust. Pty Ltd, it’s clear the business is doing everything possible to run a legitimate operation. 

BetReal Online Betting Platform Review

To kick this BetReal betting site review off, let’s dive into the odds and features, starting with the site layout. It’s built on the PuntersTech platform, which is fairly basic – you could view that as positive or negative. 

It looks like every other site using this software, and lacks cashout, esports betting and live streaming. However, it’s super straightforward to use, with easy registration, intuitive navigation and no clutter.

We’re not big fans of the bright green and yellow colours, which strain the eyes against a black background. But that’s being extremely picky. The site loads quickly on desktop and mobile, which is the main thing. 

Solid Footy and Rugby League Odds

The odds are okay, for the most part. We checked the NRL and AFL prices, for instance, and found both were set at 107.5%. 

The best odds in Australia for these competitions are priced around 105%, so BetReal will rarely be at the top end of the market. However, you’ve also got sites like Picklebet pricing AFL games to around 112% – in that context, BetReal looks pretty attractive. 

Cricket is another good illustration. Take IPL games, which are set around 108% – bang in line with most Australian betting sites. You might find slightly better odds at the country’s biggest brands, but they’re usually a little worse. BetNova sets their IPL prices at 108.5%, for example.

Not the Best for Soccer

It’s all rosy in the garden, though. Soccer fans might want to swerve BetReal – the odds on major games are priced in the region of 113.5%. 

Admittedly, that’s still better than the likes of NinjaBet, where you’re looking at a massive 15% margin for the bookie. But it’s still far behind sites like Unibet and Pointsbet, where the juice is a much more reasonable 5.5%.

Payment Methods at BetReal 

Next up in this BetReal review, we’ll look at the payment methods. There aren’t many, it has to be said, but the most crucial options are available. See the table below for details:

The minimum deposit limit is more than reasonable, at just $10. It’s also $10 for withdrawals, which is lower than many Aussie bookmakers.

Payout times are very fast, as they’re processed four times per day via Osko bank transfer. These batches are handled around 9am, 1pm, 5pm and 9pm, seven days a week.

If your request is among the earlier batches, you could receive the money on the same day. Though it’s more likely to be within 24 hours.

Is There a BetReal Mobile App?

There is a BetReal sports betting app for Android and iOS devices. However, when preparing this review, we had problems with Google Play. 

It’s not clear whether the Android app has been temporarily or permanently removed. But the link on the BetReal website no longer sends you to the app, and a manual search of Google Play revealed nothing.

The App Store still has the iOS application up, though, which is proving popular with users. Although it currently has fewer than 100 ratings, it scores a healthy 4.4 out of 5. There are no reports of bugs or glitches, and users praise the easy withdrawal process.

There’s a space on the signup form for BetReal bonus codes but – full disclosure – you don’t really need one. The site doesn’t provide a registration bonus or deposit match due to regulatory restrictions.

Customer Support at BetReal 

BetReal offers a decent live chat service, staffed by helpful and friendly agents. Our only beef is that it runs for just 12 hours a day, from 9am until 9pm. The best betting sites offer 24/7 support, so that was a little disappointing.

You can drop an email to support@betreal.com.au outside of those hours, but you won’t get a reply until the following morning. There’s no telephone support option at BetReal, either.

BetReal Site Review – Final Verdict

Once you get past the jarring neon green colours, BetReal is a solid betting site. You won’t be blown away by any amazing promotions or unbelievably generous odds. But at the same time, there’s nothing serious to complain about.

BetReal strikes us as a great place for new punters, with an uncomplicated layout, simple navigation and market depth that’s adequate, but not overwhelming. Veteran punters, though, might want to look elsewhere, as this site lacks features like cashout, live streaming and even esports odds.

When writing this review, there seemed to be a problem with the Android app. Hopefully it’s back on Google Play soon, as the iOS equivalent is very good.
