The company appears to have a clean bill of health. There are certainly no regulatory breaches that we’re aware of.

Is MidasBet a Trustworthy Betting Site?

Yes. Betting Services Australia Pty Ltd – and by extension, MidasBet – has a sports betting licence from Liquor and Gaming NSW. It’s also affiliated with the New South Wales Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission.

As we mentioned, MidasBet is just one more than a dozen betting brands in the Betting Services Australia stable. This is clearly an experienced operator that does things by the book.

Like all properly regulated Aussie sportsbooks, MidasBet and its sister sites are part of the BetStop self-exclusion program. However, you can also configure an exclusion – either permanent or temporary – that’s specific to MidasBet, should you wish.

Built on the same GenerationWeb white-label platform as its sister sites, MidasBet.com.au is quite a user-friendly platform. However, it does lack a few features that major international brands like Unibet and Ladbrokes offer, such as early cashout. It’s not possible to bet on esports yet, either.

Still, that won’t be an issue for your average Aussie punter who just wants to place a few footy bets and watch the game. If that’s you, MidasBet is the ideal choice – it’s easy to navigate, with reasonable market depth and a straightforward interface. 

Same Game and Same Race Multis are also available, and the odds are decent, despite failing to consistently trouble the market leaders. 

Decent NRL Odds

Look, MidasBet isn’t a betting exchange like Betfair, so you can’t expect it to offer the best prices on all games across every sport. However, you can expect it to offer fair odds, which for the most part, it does.

Its NRL rugby pricing, for instance, is pretty good – win markets are priced to 106%. The country’s most competitive bookies only take a 5% cut, and 6% is bang in line with several other reputable brands, like Neds and Ladbrokes.

Middling Elsewhere

Most of the odds at MidasBet, though, are fairly average. Take the AFL win lines, for example, which are priced to 107%. You’ll find plenty of smaller sites betting to the same margins, but major players like TAB and Sportsbet only have a 5% edge.

It should go without saying that average odds are better than poor odds. The fact that MidasBet is usually somewhere in the middle is no bad thing. 

Payment Methods at MidasBet

As you can see, it’s not the widest selection – you can’t use PayPal or Apple Pay, for example. But the most important methods are covered, and the minimum transaction limits are nice and low – it’s $10 for payouts, and just $5 to fund your account. 

Although the choice of deposit and withdrawal options is fairly limited, the same could be said for a long list of bookmakers in Australia. However, one key advantage MidasBet has over its rivals is how quick the payouts are. 

Withdrawals are processed at 11am daily, so if you submit a request that morning, you’ll almost certainly receive the funds on the same day. Try to withdraw at night, and you’ll get it the next day.

Be aware that your first PayID deposit might take up to 48 hours to clear. After that, transactions should be instantaneous. 

Is There a MidasBet Mobile App?

There is a MidasBet sports betting app, both for iOS and Android devices – but they’re not proving popular with real Aussie punters. 

If you check the Google Play feedback, for instance, the Android app scores a measly 1.3 out of 5. Now, we should point out that, at the time of writing, there were just 12 reviews, so this could improve in future. However, the early signs aren’t great.

The iOS application doesn’t perform much better, scoring just 2.0 out of 5 from 46 App Store ratings.
