Yes, OnlyBets is a completely trustworthy and legit betting site. You can take full confidence in knowing that it’s licensed and regulated by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission and its operations are governed by the South Australian Gambling Codes of Practice.

OnlyBets Online Betting Platform Review

Okay, let’s dig into the odds, markets and features of the BetNova online betting platform. 

Honestly, it’s not the most feature-rich site. You can’t watch live streams, for instance, and nor can you bet on esports. We’ve not seen any cashout offers, either – but at least you can build Same Race and Same Game Multis.

Sports Coverage at OnlyBets

The market depth at OnlyBets is average. You’ll find decent coverage of more than 15 sports, including cricket, rugby league and footy – which is more than fine for most punters.

AFL games feature 60 to 70 betting markets – which is enough to make a decent same game multi, but nowhere near as many as the 260+ at Sportsbet. This is not necessarily a bad thing because your same game multis will likely be less complex, which could increase your winning chances.

OnlyBets can be a little bit slower to get a full range of markets up. For example, two days before the next round of NRL games, sites like Neds and Sportsbet featured around 100+ betting markets, while OnlyBets only had head-to-head, line and over/under markets available.

Fair Odds for Popular Sports

AFL and NRL games are generally priced around 106% to 106.5%, which is very fair for a smaller bookmaker. It’s only slightly worse than the likes of TAB, EliteBet and Sportsbet where you will see these games priced around 105% to 105.5%.

For soccer betting, OnlyBets takes a huge 15% cut on all major games, including the A-League, EPL and Champions League. That margin is simply too high for us to consider using them for soccer bets at the moment, but these margins will likely be reduced for the World Cup to make them more competitive.

Payment Methods at OnlyBets 

Compared to many names on our list of Australian bookmakers, OnlyBets has a fairly limited selection of payment options, but it’s enough to get the job done.

There are $10 minimums for deposits and withdrawals, and you won’t be charged any fees.  

Payout requests are processed daily (except for public holidays) and you’ll almost always receive your funds on the same day.

We get the feeling that OnlyBets is designed more for casual punting fans – while also having a slightly humorous theme. It’s definitely a bit of fun, and the odds for NRL and AFL matches are pretty competitive.

However, if you’re more interested in betting on sports like soccer, the odds aren’t great and you’re probably better off using another betting site like Pointsbet or Neds. Live streaming also isn’t available, so if that’s important to you, you will need to look elsewhere.

That being said, OnlyBets is a trustworthy and legit new betting site, and we should continue to see some improvements in the coming months that allow us to increase our overall rating of OnlyBets.
