Founded in October 2025, TeamBet is among the newest entries to Australia’s online sports betting market. It’s owned by the same company as Betfocus, a slightly older brand that launched in 2024.

We took a look at the site to assess the odds, mobile app and promotions. Our TeamBet review also covers the support channels, payment options and mobile app. Read on to discover our findings.

TeamBet is one of several new betting sites that launched down under in 2025 – October, in this case. It’s owned and operated by Betfocus Pty Ltd, a company registered in Sydney under ABN 64 668 993 379.

The site is built around the Punterstech platform, which is also used by a number of other brands, including BetReal and TradieBET. All of these sites are owned by different companies, with the exception of Betfocus.com.au, which is a sister site of TeamBet.

Is TeamBet a Trustworthy Betting Site?

Yes. Betfocus Pty Ltd is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW  to offer sports betting. 

It’s also affiliated with the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission, and its operations adhere to the South Australian Gambling Codes of Practice.

Okay, let’s get stuck into the TeamBet site review proper, starting with the odds – which are surprisingly competitive. 

As a new platform, it can’t be expected to consistently lead every betting market. Yet TeamBet manages to hold its own against the big boys. Take cricket, for example. 

While other new platforms like DashBet bet to 108.5% on the Indian Premier League, TeamBet sets a much more punter-friendly overround of 106%. And we see that figure a lot – not just with major cricket competitions, but many of the other 20+ sports offered by this platform.

AFL and NRL

Footy is a case in point. AFL win lines are priced to 106%, exactly like Ladbrokes, Neds and several other well-known betting sites. Although a few other platforms offer better odds – Sportsbet and TAB both set their AFL margins at 105%, for instance – this is pretty good.

It’s a similar story for NRL matches. Pointsbet price their games around 104.5% – the best odds in the country, as far as we know – while BetDeluxe and CrownBet go with 105%. So TeamBet aren’t far behind at all, and their rugby league prices are much better than the likes of BetReal (107.5%).

No cashout or esports betting

In terms of features, TeamBet is a pretty standard betting platform. You won’t find any live streams here, for example – but nor would you at many of the country’s top online bookmakers. 

Same Game Multis are available, along with Same Race Multis, in what is a reasonably comprehensive thoroughbred and greyhound racing product. We also like that you can easily share your multis with friends, allowing them to quickly copy the bet.

However, you can’t bet on esports right now, and TeamBet is yet to implement a cashout feature. That’s two things we’d like to see improved sooner, rather than later.

Payment Methods at TeamBet 

TeamBet doesn’t have the greatest selection of payment options in the world, but the vast majority of punters will be happy. The table below lists all you need to know:

The minimum transaction limit is just $10 for deposits and withdrawals, and TeamBet won’t charge any processing fees. 

Payout times are generally good, as requests are processed six times daily. Because of instant payments, there’s an excellent chance you’ll receive your money on the same day – you’ll rarely wait longer than three hours.

Is There a TeamBet Sports Betting App?

There certainly is a TeamBet mobile app, both for iOS and Android devices – and they’re pretty good, too. 

App Store users scored the Apple software 4.2 out of 5, at the time of writing this review. Now, in all fairness, there were only 31 ratings to go on. But those early signs are very positive, and they tally with our own experience of a glitch-free, intuitive and reliable app.

The Android app remains unrated on Google Play, as it’s only been downloaded roughly 500 times. There haven’t yet been enough reviews to produce a fair score.

1. Click a link on this page to load the TeamBet website
2. Hit the orange “Join” button at the head of the page
3. Provide your personal information, like name and DOB
4. Enter contact details, including a phone number and email

6. Acknowledge the site’s Ts&Cs by checking the box

Following these steps will get you a new account, but until you’ve completed the verification process, you can’t do very much with it.

TeamBet – Final Verdict

Although TeamBet is still new to Australia, it’s got off to a good start. The app is proving popular, payouts are processed quickly and the odds are competitive – particularly for NRL and AFL games.

Perhaps we should have expected this, since TeamBet is run by the same team behind Betfocus.com.au – it’s not exactly their first rodeo. But you often see new bookies popping up all the time with poor odds and making schoolboy errors.

We did spot a few minor issues when preparing this TeamBet review. We’d prefer to see 24/7 live chat, the option to cash out early and a few more payment methods, for instance. But there’s nothing serious, and it’s definitely a site that’s worth checking out.
