That said, TopBet is very good when it comes to pricing win lines for Australia’s favourite sports. The horse and greyhound racing odds are competitive, as are competitions like the NRL and AFL.

Take the latter, for example, which are priced to 106% – that means a theoretical profit of 6% for the bookie on every win bet. Compare that to big-name operators like Neds and Ladbrokes – it’s just the same. In fact, not many can beat it – the lowest margin we know of is still 5%.

Other Sports

Despite being towards the top end for the biggest sports down under, the odds aren’t so hot elsewhere. Take soccer games, for instance, where the win lines are priced with margins as high as 12% to 15%.

Generally, though, the odds are pretty average. T20 cricket matches, which tend to be priced around 108%, illustrate this point nicely. It’s not a terribly high margin, but such odds are not exactly top-end either. Many newer sites, such as Picklebet, bet to 110%, but others, like PuntX and UpYaGo, are closer to 105%.
