NHL Betting Tips

Las Vegas Golden Knights vs. San Jose Sharks @ SAP Center

The Golden Knights are showing why they’re one of the best teams in the NHL. Starting 8-1-1 is better than expected and they come off a three-game winning streak.

Las Vegas scored wins over Los Angeles and Anaheim, with the last two games coming by a one-goal margin.

With only one loss on the record (5-4 to St Louis) the Vegas Knights are ideally set up to start the season, but San Jose presents a challenge.

The Sharks are 5-5-1 this season, and they didn’t look good to start the season. However, recent wins over Anaheim and Los Angeles are a good sign.

They have recovered after being pumped by Colorado in back-to-back games two weeks ago. The Sharks were outscored 10-3 in the two-game stretch, so it’s good to see them playing better now.

Las Vegas scores 3.75 goals per game and allows only 2.75. That record is much better than San Jose, which scores only 2.32 goals and allows 2.89.

We give the edge to the Golden Knights despite playing away from home.

Boston Bruins vs. New York Islanders @ Barclays Center

Boston comes off three strong wins on the road and it faces another tough test on Saturday.

The Bruins come off a 2-0 series win over Philadelphia to extend their record to 9-1-2, which is leading the Eastern Division standings.

Hoping to bridge the gap on the Bruins are the Islanders, which have rebounded from a three-game losing streak with consecutive victories.

The Islanders scored a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh before beating New York rivals Rangers 2-0 on Tuesday. It was a comprehensive effort and they should grow in confidence throughout the season.

New York is undefeated from three games at Barclays Center and they scored a 1-0 win over the Bruins earlier this season. That gave Boston its first loss of the season, so that will be fresh in the minds of both teams on Saturday.

We’re giving the edge to the Islanders. They don’t have the same record at Boston, but they match up well and playing at home helps.

The Bruins are nursing some injuries, so this is a great chance for New York to pinch a victory.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Toronto Maple Leafs @ Toronto

Toronto puts its impressive 11-2-1 record on the line on Saturday against a capable Montreal outfit.

The Maple Leafs have rattled off four consecutive wins coming into this game, including a 4-2 win over Montreal on Thursday.

The defense is getting it done for Toronto, which allows only 2.57 goals per game. Despite scoring only 3.71 per game, Toronto has recorded totals of 4, 3, 5, and 7 over its last four games.

The Canadiens have lost two of their last three games and both games against Toronto. The first game of the season was a closely-fought 5-4 result, so there isn’t much between them.

Jeff Petry leads the scoring for Montreal with six goals, equaling the top goal scorer for Toronto. Both teams have quality lineups and bookmakers should have a close line.

We give the nod to Toronto, which could make it 3/3 against Montreal. They play each other 10 times this season, and getting off to a hot start is important.

Take the Maple Leafs to notch a fifth consecutive victory.
