BlueBet website design

BlueBet uses a simplistic approach to the website and although it’s not as technically-advanced as some betting sites, it does the job.

Using a blue, grey and red colour scheme, BlueBet directs the punters’ focus to what really matters, and that’s the odds and markets.

A promotional slider runs across the top of the home page. Underneath are the next races to go and the popular sports markets.

Using a similar format to other bookies, the racing and sports sections are well laid out. Finding the right market is easy and overall, it’s a good website and betting app for navigational purposes.

Our only criticism is that it looks a touch bland. We’re not fans of too many graphics on bookmaker website but adding some fun to BlueBet could help their brand.

BlueBet horse racing features

The bookmaker is owned and run by a horse racing identity, so the horse racing section was always going to be top quality.

BlueBet has a comprehensive horse racing section, which includes local Australian horse racing, and also international betting markets.

It includes thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound markets from Australia, New Zealand, US, UK, and Asia. BlueBet doesn’t skip past any markets, so punters have all the options available.

The odds on offer are generous. They offer competitive betting prices and they run a Victorian +5% market for tote punters.

As previously mentioned, BlueBet is one of the first bookmakers to release odds for the big Group 1 races and feature races like the Melbourne Cup.

Most of the notable Group 1’s are covered months before the race, so punters can lock in the futures value. This is a big positive as some bookmakers don’t have any futures markets available, let alone a comprehensive list.

Jockeys Challenges and results are also available for punters.

Overall, the racing section at BlueBet is impressive. They know the product, and they know what punters are looking for and we recommend them for following our horse racing tips.

BlueBet sports betting

Many punters wouldn’t expect the sports betting section at BlueBet to compete with that of horse racing. However, they excel in both fields and sports punters should give it a try.

Firstly, we were impressed with the $1.92 lines for all the popular sports. Punters are getting good lines for the likes of NBA, NFL, AFL and NRL. Some bookmakers offer only $1.90 or $1.91 lines, so getting that extra value is important.

19 different sports are available for punters, including all the Australian favourites, plus the likes of entertainment and yachting.

The only downside are the amount of markets available once you have selected a game. Some bookmakers offer anywhere from 100-200 different submarkets, but BlueBet averages around 10-20.

However, all the best options are available, such as head-to-head, margin betting, and total points.

Overall, punters will be happy when betting on sport at BlueBet.

BlueBet customer service

The customer service is good quality at BlueBet, however, there is no live chat option and this is a negative in this day and age.

Bookmakers really need a live chat option, given the urgency of some enquires. However, if you want to get in touch, you can call one of three numbers.

Racing – 1800 797 066
Sport – 1800 797 558
Customer Service – 1800 797 644

You can also email, fax or send mail to the team at BlueBet. They response to emails within a few hours, which is satisfactory.

BlueBet payment methods

There are plenty of depositing options at BlueBet. For a cash deposit, punters must head to a NAB Bank, where you’ll need your BlueBet account details handy.

Bank Transfer MasterCard PayPal Skrill Visa

BlueBet withdrawal options

People who have deposited by credit card (excluding debit cards) must return the equal amount of their credit card deposits previously paid into their BlueBet Account back to the same credit card.

However, they may elect to have winnings surplus to those credit card deposits lodged to their own bank accounts.

Bank EFT withdrawals may take 1-2 business days to clear depending on your bank. Clients will need to verify their account before withdrawing funds.

BlueBet social betting

BlueBet has “social betting” which allows punters to connect with each other via the app.

You can share tips with your mates, and they will get a notification. You can also do form, rate the runners and then share that information.

It’s all to bring gamblers together and it’s a great innovation from the team.
