Sebastian Fundora vs. Tim Tszyu Tips & Predictions

Sebastian Fundora vs. Tim Tszyu headlines boxing action this week as they run it back in Las Vegas.

Fundora gave up his WBO belt to face Tszyu in the rematch of their 2024 clash, where Fundora scored a controversial split decision win over the Australian.

Boxing odds have Tszyu as a surprising $1.69 favourite to end his two-fight losing streak.

Fundora vs. Tszyu Tips

Best Bet

Sebastian Fundora @ $2.30

We feel bad about not backing Australian champion Tszyu, but after losing his last two fights, we’re not sure where to place him on the world stage.

He has been found out since taking on tougher opponents, and although Fundora might have got a little lucky, Tszyu had no such excuses when being TKO’d by Bakhram Murtazaliev last year. That was a dreadful performance, and he lost every round until the judge called off the fight.

That fight sticks in our mind, and although we would love to see him get back to his best, Fundora has kicked on and won again. He defeated the promising Chordale Booker with a fourth round TKO, and although he gives up his belt by facing Tszyu instead of the highest-rated contender, it was out of his control.

Fundora wins fights, and his 22-1-1 record speaks for itself. The $2.30 underdog cut Tszyu in their last meeting and used that to his advantage. He could target the same area against a fighter whose confidence is lacking after back-to-back losses.

The $2.30 odds for Fundora are too good to turn down, especially under the bright lights of Las Vegas, where Tszyu has yet to shine.

Fundora vs. Tszyu Props

Fundora by Decision @ $3.80

We see this fight going the distance, which pays $1.82, but punters get better odds for Fundora to win by decision at $3.80.

Both options are worth including in boxing predictions this week, but we’re on the hunt for juicy odds, and Fundora could win the rematch on the judge’s scorecards once again. However, we don’t think it will be via split decision this time around.

Fundora has improved with age and Tszyu has regressed. Therefore, it makes sense to back Fundora to outbox the Australian, who will be desperate for a knockout win, but against a cagey fighter, that’s unlikely to happen.

Best Value Bet

Fight to go the Distance @ $1.82

Punters might not see much value in $1.82 odds, but it’s a value price. We priced this option at around $1.60, and we can’t see either fighter winning by knockout.

They are evenly matched for the most part, but Fundora is likely to win more rounds based on his output. Tszyu goes for bigger punches, but when they’re not hitting the target, he doesn’t have much left to give.
