UEFA Champions League Quarter Final 2nd Leg Tips & Predictions

All four remaining Champions League ties hang in the balance this week and it promises to be another unmissable midweek of UCL action.

Following enthralling first legs, Bayern Munich, PSG, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid all hold advantages heading into the second tie, but none are home and hosed just yet.

For Real Madrid, Liverpool, Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona, hope remains and an early goal for any of them would see them propelled right back into contention.

Second legs are where heroes are born and this should be another incredible round of games.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid

Bayern Munich were utterly dominant when these two sides collided in Madrid last week but with just a one goal advantage, this tie with Real hangs in the balance. Vincent Kompany’s men enjoyed plenty of the ball at the Bernabeu and demonstrated real quality across the pitch. Real Madrid however are never out of any tie and despite being outplayed, they managed to only lose 2-1 and have a chance of overturning this tie. Bayern though do look to be the real deal at present, and they should get over the line here.

Following a chaotic encounter at the Nou Camp last week, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona lock horns again here, with Atletico very much in charge of the tie. Two goals against the 10-men of Barca proved to be enough for Atletico, who continue to punch above their weight in the Champions League, and they will have a clear game plan here. Barcelona, know they need to attack from the outset, without conceding too many chances of their own and this one should make for compelling viewing. Barcelona look decent value to win this tie, but Atletico could end up progressing to the final four.

Having run riot at home in Paris, PSG travel to Liverpool, knowing they need an extraordinary performance under the Anfield lights. The reds struggled to impact upon the game in Paris at all last week, but they have a track record of producing stunning home results and comebacks in the Champions League. PSG meanwhile have been utterly dominant in all departments of late and confidence should be very high in their camp. This should be a firecracker of a game, with PSG perhaps possessing too much across the board for Liverpool.
