College Basketball Picks

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Missouri Tigers @ Mizzou Arena

Alabama and Missouri are two ranked teams, so this game is a great way to kick off NCAA basketball on Sunday.

The Crimson Tide comes off a 78-60 win over LSU, which was an excellent rebound after losing to Oklahoma on Saturday.

At 15-4, Alabama is one of the most promising teams in the competition, but it faces a tough ask against an in-form Missouri Tigers outfit.

Missouri lost to Auburn two weeks ago, but it has hit back with wins over TCU and Kentucky. The 12-3 record reflects the ability of the Tigers, but they need a win to keep in touch with Alabama in the Southeastern standings.

Alabama has a perfect 10-0 conference record, which puts Missouri four games back. It could be too much for Missouri to overcome, so we’re going with Alabama to continue its run.

Because Alabama is on the road, punters should get a value price with bookmakers.

Kansas Jayhawks vs. West Virginia Mountaineers @ WVU Coliseum

Despite owning six losses on its record, Kansas is still one of the more dangerous teams in the competition.

The Jayhawks lost consecutive games to Baylor and Oklahoma before beating TCU by eight points. That win was followed by a loss to Tennessee, but they put away a poor Kansas State team by 23 points earlier this week.

West Virginia is in a similar boat to Kansas, which sees it 3.5 games behind conference leader Baylor. The winner of this game goes to second place in the Big 12 Conference, which is the toughest conference in college basketball this season.

The Moutaineers scored a 76-72 win over Iowa State on Wednesday, and that should give them confidence. They also scored an 88-87 win over Texas Tech, which has subsequent won consecutive games.

The form of the Moutaineers bodes well for this game, but Kansas has won its last five games against West Virginia, so that statistic can’t be overlooked.

However, West Virginia has played better this season, so we give them the edge.

TCU Horned Frogs vs. Baylor Bears @ Ferrell Center

Baylor continues to fly through the season, and the TCU Horned Frogs are unlikely to get in the way.

The Bears are 17-0 after putting Texas to bed by 14 points on Wednesday. It was a strong performance from Baylor, given that Texas is a top-five team.

Baylor is the best team in the country this season, and although ranked second behind Baylor, we believe they would beat the Bulldogs.

TCU looked good to start the season, winning its first four games. Back-to-back losses to Oklahoma and Providence was followed by five straight wins, so the season was back on track.

However, it has struggled against the better teams in the country. They dropped five consecutive games to Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Baylor, which won 67-49 in the first meeting.

TCU needs to make up 18 points to turn the tables on Baylor, and we can’t see it happening. Baylor has no weaknesses, and its defense is top notch.

Baylor allows only 62.8 points per game and scores 87. That is a sizable points differential, which is why the Bears are so tough to beat.

We expect bookmakers to have the line around 18.5 points, but whatever the line is, take Baylor to cover.

Bet: Baylor Bears to winBet @ Sportsbet
