Sunday College Football Picks

Cincinnati Bearcats vs Indiana Hoosiers @ Memorial Stadium

The Cincinnati Bearcats have yet to face any team of note, but the eighth-ranked team looks like the real deal.

They started their season with a 49-14 win over Miami-Ohio before beating Murray State 42-7. The offense has been in fine form and the defense has been equally as impressive.

Quarterback Desmond Riddler owns six touchdowns and only one intercept, so he’s taking care of the ball. However, running back Jerome Ford has been the talking point.

Ford has rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns from 30 carries, which is an exceptional number. He could be the difference between the Bearcats winning and losing, so we’re in the corner of the favourites on Sunday.

We thought Cincinnati would be shorter than $1.46 in head-to-head markets. They are much better than Indiana, who lost to Iowa 34-6 before beating a poor Idaho outfit.

We’re happy to lay the 3.5 points and predict a comfortable Bearcats victory.

Bet: Cincinnati Bearcats –3.5 @ $1.81Bet @ Sportsbet

Michigan State Spartans vs Miami Hurricanes @ Hard Rock Stadium

We haven’t been overly impressed with Miami so far, so we’re surprised it’s the $1.39 favourite to win.

Playing at home will help, but the Hurricanes were manhandled by the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first game 44-13 before beating a much easier team last week.

Miami scored a 25-23 win over Appalachian State, but resulted in a win, but the bookmakers had Miami at –7.5 in that game. We didn’t see enough from the Hurricanes to confident bet on them against a solid Michigan State Spartans team.

Michigan State is 2-0 after scoring a 38-21 win over Northwestern in Week One. It then defeated Youngston State 42-14, so the offense is firing on all cylinders.

The Big Ten is packed with impressive teams this season and we don’t think the Michigan State Spartans would look out of place near the top of the division. Quarterback Payton Thorne looks to have a bright future, and so does running back Kenneth Walker III, who is averaging over 10 yards per carry.

Those are impressive numbers, so we’re picking an upset this Sunday.

Bet: Michigan State Spartans +6.5 @ $1.87Bet @ Sportsbet

Auburn Tigers vs Penn State Nittany Lions @ Beaver Stadium

We love it when two unbeaten teams meet as the Auburn Tigers and Penn State Nittany Lions battle on Sunday.

Penn State is currently ranked inside the top 10 after beating Wisconsin in Week One 16-10, before beating Ball State 44-13 last week.

The Nittany Lions have Sean Clifford at quarterback, who has made an impressive start to the season. However, we’re giving the edge to Auburn quarterback Bo Nix, who is 29-39 with five touchdowns.

Nix is an experience quarterback who has been leading the Tigers offense to average 61 points. They have also allowed only 10 points overall, so the numbers can’t be overlooked.

One player who has stood out is Auburn running back Jarquez Hunter. He has had only 17 carries but has already posted 257 yards and touchdowns. He is a dynamic runner who could make it into the NFL at this rate.

Playing in Penn State is never easy, but we’re predicting a close game. Auburn is good enough to keep it close and convert on the +6.5 line offered by bookmakers.

Bet: Auburn Tigers +6.5 @ $1.85Bet @ Sportsbet
