India vs. New Zealand Predictions

It’s hard to overlook the form of India so far, who we picked to win the Cricket World Cup from the outset.

They went unbeaten throughout the tournament, and they made some teams look second-rate. They defeated South Africa by 243 runs, and South African somehow made the semifinals.

India has been the testing material, and getting home conditions is a big factor. They have always had a great record playing at India, and with the scores being record setting, it also helps their cause.

However, New Zealand has also been playing well and with limited luck. The Black Caps made the semifinals, which is a good achievement, but they consider themselves as one of the best ODI teams in the world and rightfully so.

They love the big occasion, which makes them a dangerous proposition, especially at the odds. Turning down New Zealand at $3.35 is tough to do, considering the amount of talent they have.

Rachin Ravindra has been a force with the bat, scoring three consecutive centuries. If he gets going in the semifinal, New Zealand could score a big total.

New Zealand’s problem is tearing through the Indian batting lineup. It’s easier said than done, but even if India bats first and sets a big total, New Zealand is good enough to run it down.

The Black Caps have been at their best when batting first, so it’s a crucial coin toss. It could determine the match outcome.

Despite picking India to win the tournament, we can use that as a saver bet and take New Zealand to win at $3.35. It’s a fantastic price for a team that has a good history of making Cricket World Cup finals.

Bet: New Zealand @ $3.35

India vs New Zealand Player of the Match

If the Black Caps are to win, they either need a big score or their bowlers to hit top gear.

We’re going with the latter, so we’re backing Trent Boult to win Player of the Match. The bowling speedster could take some early wickets, which is crucial to New Zealand’s success.

Boult is a $19 chance to win the award, which is a generous price for New Zealand’s most deadly bowler.

Most of the favourites are from India, including current favourite Virat Kohli. He is a model of consistency, and we’re not leaving him out of our selections.

The captain is a good bet at $6.25, which requires a solid total with the bat and a team win.

Bet: Trent Boult @ $19

India vs New Zealand Top Run Scorer

Ravindra has been one of the best batsmen at the Cricket World Cup, and he’s our top pick to be top run scorer.

The New Zealander has already put plenty of runs on the board throughout the tournament, and we don’t see him slowing down any time soon.

We thought he would be shorter than $10 with bookmakers, so we’re happy with the value odds available.

Kohli is the current $5 favourite, but there is more value with Rohit Sharma for India. Sharma likes to produce his best efforts in big matches, so he’s our saver bet.

Bet: Rachin Ravindra @ $10
