2021-22 EPL Week 10 – Tips, Predictions & Odds

With last weekend’s 5-0 defeat to Liverpool still resonating across world football, the pressure looks to be building significantly on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Manchester United are off the pace already in the league and the writing appears to be on the wall for the Norwegian. By contrast, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool continue to churn out the results and look to have the makings of title contenders already. Elsewhere, West Ham ousted old foes Tottenham last weekend, Arsenal showed their class to beat Aston Villa and the likes of Burnley, Newcastle United and Norwich City are all awaiting their first wins of the season.

Here are our picks for the next round of fixtures in the Premier League:

EPL Week 10 Tips

Leicester City vs Arsenal – King Power Stadium

Leicester City ($2.56)

Arsenal ($2.94)

Draw ($3.55)

Two sides that have improved significantly in recent weeks do battle as Arsenal travel to Leicester City. The Foxes were struggling prior to the international break but back to back wins over Manchester United and Brentford have seen them climb the table. European football will be on the agenda for them this season too and they will see this as a real test against Arsenal. The Gunners meanwhile have looked solid in the past week, beating Aston Villa in front of their home fans, before backing that up with a Carabao Cup win over Leeds. This should be a really good game, between two decent sides and a draw looks the most likely outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.55)Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw

Burnley vs Brentford – Turf Moor

Burnley ($2.8)

Brentford ($2.8)

Draw ($3.33)

Winless Burnley will be looking to snap their barren streak as they take on newly promoted Brentford. The Clarets haven’t been at their best this season but with 4 draws from their opening 9 games, they have been as difficult to beat as ever. They showed real resolve to pinch a point at Southampton last weekend and could build on that here. Brentford meanwhile have impressed since arriving in the Premier League and they look more than capable of mixing it with the big boys. They were undone by Leicester last weekend and will be keen to bounce back here. Burnley are a decent side though and a draw could be the result here at Turf Moor.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.33)Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw

Liverpool vs Brighton – Anfield

Liverpool ($1.27)

Brighton ($13)

Draw ($6.8)

High-flying Liverpool will be looking to keep their excellent run of form going as they host Brighton. The reds picked up a famous win last time out, thumping Manchester United at Old Trafford 5-0 and there appears to be a real swagger to Jurgen Klopp’s side this season. They take on a Brighton side that have picked up some excellent results already this season and appear to have one eye on a top half finish. They were outclassed by champions Manchester City last weekend, and it could be a similar story here, with Liverpool hot favourites to continue their unbeaten run.

Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.27)Bet @ Sportsbet

Liverpool to win 3-0

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City ($1.2)

Crystal Palace ($21)

Draw ($9)

Manchester City welcome back former player Patrick Vieira to the Etihad and his Crystal Palace side that have been improving in recent weeks. City have been in top form of late and their excellent win on the road at Brighton last weekend merely underlined just that. They are still fighting on 4 fronts and look compelled to challenge again this term under Pep Guardiola. Crystal Palace meanwhile have only won 1 Premier League game this term but look to have an identity and have been a little unlucky not to pick up more points. This will be a free hit at City, but the blues should prevail at home in this one.

Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match ($1.2)Bet @ Sportsbet

Manchester City to win 4-1

Newcastle United vs Chelsea – St James’s Park

Newcastle United ($9.8)

Chelsea ($1.41)

Draw ($5.1)

Manager-less Newcastle will be looking to get their first win of the season as they host top of the table Chelsea at St James’s Park. The Toon have been abject at times this term and results forced the board to remove Steve Bruce as manager. The euphoria surrounding the new ownership at the club will be put to the test here against an in-form Chelsea side. The blues hammered Norwich City 7-0 last weekend and look to be right in the mix with Manchester City and Liverpool to lift the Premier League title in May. This should be a cracking encounter, but Chelsea look too long in the tooth to be caught out here and should win on the road.

Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.41)Bet @ Sportsbet

Chelsea to win 2-0

Watford vs Southampton – Vicarage Road

Watford ($3.27)

Southampton ($2.36)

Draw ($3.5)

Fresh off the back of their first win under the stewardship of Claudio Ranieri, Watford welcome Southampton in what could be a big game at the foot of the table at Vicarage Road. The Hornets have been up against it at times this season but showed real resolve to comeback at Everton and ultimately prevail 5-2 in one of the shocks of the weekend. Southampton meanwhile have only won once this season and look to be lacking a little bit of confidence in front of goal. They picked up a decent point at home to Burnley last week and could well do the same here against Watford.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.5)Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw

Tottenham vs Manchester United – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham ($3)

Manchester United ($2.4)

Draw ($3.75)

Two sides in desperate need of a win face off as Tottenham welcome a beleaguered Manchester United side to North London. Last week’s defeat to West Ham was a real wake up call for Spurs, who have huffed and puffed all season with 5 wins and 4 losses from their opening 9 games. They take on an equally as inconsistent side in Manchester United, who look to have a manager on the brink in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Losing 5-0 to Liverpool last time out hasn’t proven to be the nail in the coffin many expected, and he gets another shot at it here. This could be a turgid encounter, between two sides out of nick and a draw looks to be on the cards.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.75)Bet @ Sportsbet

0-0 Draw

Norwich City vs Leeds United – Carrow Road

Norwich City ($3.6)

Leeds United ($2.15)

Draw ($3.65)

Two sides in desperately poor form do battle as Norwich City host struggling Leeds United. The Canaries have just 2 points on the board from their opening 9 Premier League games and look to be Championship bound already this season. They lost 7-0 at Chelsea last time out and confidence looks to be on the floor in the camp. Leeds meanwhile have only won 1 Premier League game this season and look to be running out of steam under Marcelo Bielsa currently. They are a side with plenty of quality in key areas however and they could come through this test with a welcome three points in the bag.

Betting tip: Leeds United to win the match ($2.15)Bet @ Sportsbet

Leeds United to win 2-1

Aston Villa vs West Ham United – Villa Park

Aston Villa ($2.84)

West Ham United ($2.6)

Draw ($3.55)

Two sides with aspirations of a top half finish at least this season face off as Aston Villa host West Ham. The Villains have had some excellent results already this season, without being able to find the consistency of last term and find themselves 13th in the table as a result. Meanwhile, West Ham have started the season in superb fashion, winning 5 of their opening 9 games to sit comfortably in the top 4 of the Premier League table. This could be one of the games of the weekend and an entertaining draw looks to be on the cards in the West Midlands.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.65)Bet @ Sportsbet

2-2 Draw

Wolves vs Everton – Molineux

Wolves ($2.25)

Everton ($3.5)

Draw ($3.38)

Ever-improving Wolves will be looking to continue their excellent recent run as they host Everton. Bruno Lage’s side have won 4 of their last 5 matches and only a last gasp equaliser from Leeds prevented them from picking up 5 wins on the spin. They take on an Everton side that have had their strong early season progress checked a little in recent weeks and their defeat to Watford last time out was particularly chastening. Both of these sides will fancy their chances here, making the draw the most plausible outcome at Molineux.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.65)Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw
