Our EPL week 10 tips are here and we have predicitions for every match. Last week, Manchester City closed the gap at the top of the Premier League to 6 points with a comfortable win on the road at Crystal Palace whilst leaders Liverpool could only manage a point at arch rivals Manchester United. Tottenham’s poor form continued with a disappointing home draw with Watford whilst Arsenal were the latest team to be undone by Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United. Chelsea continued their impressive run under Frank Lampard whilst Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa bagged a late winner against Brighton.
Here are our picks for the tenth round of fixtures in the Premier League:
2019/20 EPL Week 10 Preview
Southampton vs Leicester City – St Mary’s Stadium
Leicester City ($2.4)
Brendan Rodgers’s Leicester City travel to Southampton in what promises to be a fascinating Friday night fixture on the south coast. Southampton meanwhile picked up a solid point at Wolves last time out but look to be a side with survival at the top of their priority list. They currently find themselves 17th in the Premier League table and they will be looking to scale it as quickly as possible. The Foxes meanwhile reside in third place in the table and picked up a gritty 2-1 win over Burnley last time out. They have only been beaten twice this season and could well have one eye on finishing inside the top 4 come next May. Leicester should have too much quality in key areas here and should sneak past the Saints.
Betting tip: Leicester City to win the match and both teams to score ($4.25) – Bet Now
Leicester City to win 3-1
Manchester City vs Aston Villa – Etihad Stadium
Manchester City ($1.11)
Aston Villa ($34)
Second placed Manchester City take on Aston Villa at home as they look to maintain the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the league. They looked impressive against both Crystal Palace and Atalanta in their last two games and they will be keen to go well again here. For Villa meanwhile, this will be seen as a free hit with Dean Smith’s men flying high in 12th place in the table following back to back Premier League wins over Norwich and Brighton. Villa could threaten City who are particularly short defensively but the Blues should have too much fire power – especially at the Etihad.
Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match and both teams to score ($2) – Bet Now
Manchester City to win 4-1
Brighton vs Everton – AMEX Stadium
Graham Potter’s Brighton host Everton in what has the makings of a highly entertaining fixture at the AMEX. Brighton have impressed at times this season but only sit in 16th place in the league with 9 points to their name and last week’s loss to Aston Villa will still be hurting them. For Everton meanwhile, the pressure was eased on Marco Silva after his Everton side beat West Ham at Goodison Park last Saturday lunchtime. The Toffees have climbed to 15th in the table as a result but are still very much involved in the relegation picture currently. Whilst Everton will fancy their chances, this should be an entertaining game between two attacking sides and it could well end up honours even.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw and both teams to score ($4.95) – Bet Now
Watford vs Bournemouth – Vicarage Road
Winless Watford welcome Bournemouth to Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon in what is an important game for both sides. The Hornets sit bottom of the table and are yet to pick up a win from their opening 9 games but the manner of their point on the road at Spurs is sure to give them confidence going into this one. Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth will be looking to stay in the top half as they find themselves with 12 points acquired from their opening 9 games. Their away form has improved in recent seasons and with pace to burn in attacking areas, they will be looking to hurt Watford on the break. This should be an absolute fire cracker in North London that Bournemouth could come through with all three points in the bag.
Betting tip: Bournemouth to win the match ($3.3) – Bet Now
Bournemouth to win 2-1
West Ham United vs Sheffield United – London Olympic Stadium
West Ham United ($2.15)
Sheffield United ($3.7)
Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham welcome Sheffield United to the London Olympic Stadium with the two sides only separated in the table by goal difference. The Hammers have lacked consistency this term and once again failed to build on optimism with a loss at Everton last time out to leave them 11th in the standings. Sheffield United meanwhile have been the league’s surprise package and currently reside in 9th following their famous win over Arsenal on Monday Night. The Blades have adapted well at this level and will be relishing the chance to take on the Irons here but West Ham should well come through this stern test.
Betting tip: West Ham United to win the match and both teams to score ($2.65) – Bet Now
West Ham United to win 2-1
Burnley vs Chelsea – Turf Moor
Chelsea travel to Burnley as they look to continue their impressive run of form under Frank Lampard. The blues took a while to get going this term but they showed real resolve and patience to edge past Newcastle last time out and climb up to 4th in the Premier League table. Burnley meanwhile sit only 5 points behind Chelsea following an equally impressive run of form themselves and they will feel hard done by to have lost at Leicester City last time out. They will be relishing the chance to play in front of their home fans and will trouble Chelsea but the blues should have too much quality in key areas here and should sneak past the Clarets.
Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match to nil ($1.82) – Bet Now
Chelsea to win 2-1
Newcastle United vs Wolves – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($3.02)
Newcastle host Wolves on Sunday as they look to keep up their impressive run of recent form. Steve Bruce’s picked up a famous victory over Manchester United in their last home game and showed real resolve at Stamford Bridge last Saturday as they look to climb away from trouble with their limited resources. Wolves meanwhile failed to build on their famous 2-0 win at Manchester City as they were held by Southampton at home and will once again have the rigours of Europa League football to contend with this week,. Nuno Esporito Santo’s men sit 13th in the table and will be looking to recover from their slow start to the campaign. This should be a close encounter but Wolves should have too much about them for the Magpies here.
Betting tip: Wolves to win the match ($2.65) – Bet Now
Wolves to win 1-0
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – Emirates Stadium
Crystal Palace ($7)
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their chastening defeat to Sheffield United on Monday as they welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates. Unai Emery’s men sit 5th in the table and will be targeting Champions League football next season but their inability to maintain consistency continues to hinder their European football bid. Palace meanwhile showed endeavor against Manchester City but never really troubled the Champions last time out but they will feel they could get something on the road at Arsenal if things go their way. This should be a fantastic game between two good sides and Arsenal should just about prevail in front of their home faithful.
Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match and both teams to score ($2.85) – Bet Now
Arsenal to win 3-2
Liverpool vs Tottenham – Anfield
Liverpool take on Tottenham in what promises to be the biggest game of the weekend in the Premier League. The reds 6 points clear of the chasing pack and how they would love to get back to winning ways in front of their home fans after a draw at Manchester United last time out. Spurs are in desperate need of a win following their disappointing draw with Watford last time out and the pressure is ramping up on Mauricio Pochettino – who’s side sit 7th. Tottenham could trouble Liverpool but the reds should prevail comfortably here at home.
Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match and both teams to score ($2.3) – Bet Now
Liverpool to win 3-1
Norwich City vs Manchester United – Carrow Road
Norwich City ($4.4)
Manchester United ($1.86)
Daniel Farke’s Norwich City will be looking to climb out of the relegation zone as they take on struggling Manchester United at Carrow Road. The Canaries sit 19th in the table but should be buoyed by their first away point of the season at Bournemouth last weekend. Manchester United meanwhile showed real resolve against Liverpool on Sunday but are still some distance from the top of the table – residing in 14th place with a miserable 10 points from 9 games played. The pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reaching fever pitch from those inside and outside the club and United should get the job done for him on the road here.
Betting tip: Manchester United to win the match ($1.86) – Bet Now
