With Arsenal roaring on last weekend and Chelsea, Manchester City and champions Liverpool all faltering, the title looks to be on its way to the Emirates Stadium at this early stage of the campaign.
There is still plenty of football to be played and this promises to be another fascinating weekend of Premier League action once again.
For the three promoted sides, Burnley, Sunderland and Leeds United, building on good wins last time out as they look to put distance between themselves and sides currently struggling.
West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Wolves are all in the relegation mire currently and they have work to do to secure their Premier League status.
Here are our Premier League tips for the next round of fixtures:
EPL Week 10 Predictions
—
Fulham ($1.83)
Wolves ($4.60)
Draw ($3.65)
Two sides in need of a win line up here, as Fulham take on Wolves on the banks of the Thames. Another late goal proved to be the undoing of Fulham last time out at Newcastle United, but their penalty shootout win over Wycombe in the Carabao Cup should give them plenty of confidence ahead of this one. Wolves crashed out of the cup at the hands of Chelsea and their inability to keep clean sheets is costing them. Fulham need a win, and they should land one here at home.
Fulham to win 2-1
—
Crystal Palace ($1.85)
Brentford ($4.40)
Draw ($3.85)
A pair of London sides going well of late meet here, as Crystal Palace host Brentford. The Eagles were undone by Arsenal in the league last week, but their big Carabao Cup win over Liverpool at Anfield should give them confidence here. Brentford also booked their place in the last 8 of the cup and confidence looks to be developing under Keith Andrews this term. Both sides will fancy their chances, but Palace are good at home and should prevail here.
Crystal Palace to win 2-1
—
Nottingham Forest ($3.00)
Manchester United ($2.25)
Draw ($3.90)
Three Premier League wins on the spin has allowed Manchester United and their fans to begin dreaming again but they face a tricky looking trip to Nottingham Forest next. Sean Dyche is in charge at Forest, and he has a job to do to pull the reds away from relegation trouble. United are far from the finished article but they are winning games and developing confidence under Ruben Amorim. Forest are struggling and United could have the firepower to pick them off.
Manchester United to win 2-1
—
Burnley ($10.50)
Arsenal ($1.33)
Draw ($5.80)
Burnley have defied expectation this term under Scott Parker, but they have a tough assignment on their hands here against Arsenal. The Clarets have won their last two Premier League games and are always tough to beat at home, so they should relish this one. However, Arsenal are the in-form team in the Premier League, with a potent attack and a mean defence and they will rattle into Burnley from the outset. This will be all about Arsenal, who should pick up a comfortable win in Lancashire here.
Arsenal to win 3-0
—
Brighton ($1.77)
Leeds United ($4.70)
Draw ($4.00)
Brighton have been struggling for points of late, but they will be looking to get back on track here against Leeds. Losses to Manchester United and Arsenal in the last week will have knocked the confidence of the Seagulls and this feels like a big one for them. Leeds are going very well in the Premier League and look to be well at home at this level. Goals could be on the agenda here and Brighton could manage to get it done at home.
Brighton to win 3-1
—
Tottenham ($2.75)
Chelsea ($2.38)
Draw ($3.80)
A huge London derby is on the agenda here, as Tottenham and Chelsea lock horns in North London. Spurs are going along well under Thomas Frank, but they crashed out of the Carabao Cup in midweek. Chelsea did manage to progress in the cup in midweek, but they lost to Sunderland last time out in the Premier League and have work to do in the title race. Goals look guaranteed here and both sides may end up settling for the draw.
2-2 Draw
—
Liverpool ($1.57)
Aston Villa ($5.50)
Draw ($4.60)
Champions Liverpool are in a spot of bother, but they have a chance to get back on track here against Aston Villa. The reds were hammered by Crystal Palace in midweek in the Carabao Cup and they have work to do in defence of their title. Aston Villa picked up a famous win over Manchester City last time out and are starting to develop a sense of consistency under Unai Emery. This will be a big one at Anfield for Liverpool and they should deliver here.
Liverpool to win 2-1
—
West Ham United ($4.40)
Newcastle United ($1.95)
Draw ($3.90)
West Ham have been struggling this season, and things don’t look to be getting any easier for them here, as they take on Newcastle. The Hammers have been struggling for form, results and goals in recent weeks, and the home faithful is beginning to get a little unruly. Newcastle have been developing really nicely at home lately, but their away form has been very poor this term, and they will need to turn things around quickly. This will be cagey and West Ham maybe able to pinch a point.
1-1 Draw
—
Manchester City ($1.50)
Bournemouth ($6.50)
Draw ($4.90)
Manchester City came unstuck against Aston Villa last weekend and they will need to get back on track here against Bournemouth. City did bounce back in the Carabao Cup in midweek at Swansea, but they have been misfiring at times this term. Bournemouth meanwhile are flying high up at the top of the table and they such a dangerous outfit in games like this. Confidence in the City camp is fragile, and the Cherries could manage to pick them off here.
Bournemouth to win 3-1
—
Sunderland ($2.85)
Everton ($2.70)
Draw ($3.15)
Another side in fine form is Sunderland, and they will be looking to keep things going here against Everton. The Black Cats are defying expectations in the Premier League, and they will be desperate to keep adding to their points tally. Everton meanwhile have hit a bit of a wall under David Moyes, but they will carry a serious threat in this game, especially on the break. This could be tight and both sides may end up settling for a draw.
