Attention turns to the final international break of 2025 after this weekend but there is some bumper Premier League action to negotiate first.
Arsenal continue to set the standard and now have a six point gap to the chasing pack, with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool looking to keep pace.
The dream start to the season continues for Sunderland, who are sitting pretty inside the top four, while the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are all within striking distance.
Down at the bottom of the pile, Wolves have parted ways with Victor Pereira, as they look to find a way out of relegation trouble, while Nottingham Forest and West Ham remain in the bottom three.

Spurs have been inconsistent so far this season, particularly at home but a big Champions League win in midweek over FC Copenhagen has boosted the mood. United don’t have any European commitments to worry about this term and they will be looking to kick on from their four game unbeaten streak. United appear confident at the moment and they could prevail in this one.

A pair of sides in the relative doldrums meet here, as West Ham host Burnley. The Hammers have struggled all season but a big win over Newcastle last weekend has boosted the mood in East London. Burnley meanwhile were undone by Arsenal last weekend, but they are battling for their lives just above the Premier League relegation zone. This will be cagey and with Burnley always tough to beat, a draw could be on the cards here.

Everton will be looking to use home advantage to good effect here, as they take on Fulham at the Hill Dickinson. The Toffees drew with Sunderland last time out and continue to battle away in search of Premier League safety. Fulham meanwhile picked up a good win over Wolves last weekend and they will want to take that momentum into this one. Goals feel guaranteed here and Everton could end up having the better of it at home.

High flying Sunderland look set to take on their biggest test yet, as they host Arsenal in the North East. The Black Cats are sitting pretty inside the top four, and they will be looking to keep up their excellent record at home this term. Arsenal meanwhile have won ten games on the bounce in all competitions and look to fear absolutely nobody. This is a big one for both sides, but the Gunners should be able to pick off Sunderland here.

Managerless Wolves will be looking to make the most of this completely free hit on the road at Chelsea here. The blues drew with FK Qarabag in the Champions League in midweek and are struggling for consistency currently. Meanwhile, Wolves are bottom of the Premier League pack, with just two points in the bag from ten games played and they need to turn things around quickly. Wolves will have a go here, but Chelsea should be too strong for them.

Brentford will be looking to make life tough for another of the Premier League’s big boys, as they welcome Newcastle United to town. The Bees lost at Crystal Palace last weekend but their home form as been a strong point for them this term. Newcastle by contrast have struggled on the road and their limp 3-1 loss at West Ham last weekend did have a few alarm bells ringing. This should be a good one and both sides may end up settling for a draw.

Nottingham Forest will be looking to pick up just their second win of this Premier League season, as they take on Leeds at the City Ground. Sean Dyche looks to be getting a tune out of this Forest side, and they are always tough to stop at home. Meanwhile, Leeds will be eager to bounce back from their loss at Brighton last weekend, but this is a tall order for them. Forest are strong at home, and they should have enough to prevail here.

Two sides who famously don’t care too much for each other meet here, as Crystal Palace host Brighton. The Eagles won well at home to Brentford last time out and they are building momentum under Oliver Glasner. Brighton meanwhile also won well at home last weekend, but their away form has been patchy this term. Goals feel on the agenda here and Palace may well end up coming out on top at Selhurst Park.

Aston Villa and Bournemouth square off on Sunday, with both sides looking to push up the table in the coming weeks. Villa have picked up some good results at home of late, but they were undone by Liverpool last weekend. This will be tight, with both teams looking to play on the front foot and it may end up as a draw.

Manchester City and Liverpool clash in what should be a seismic battle at the Etihad Stadium. City are going well, with big wins over Borussia Dortmund and Bournemouth this week and they will feel confident. Liverpool are in the same bracket, having beaten both Aston Villa and Real Madrid over the past few days. Calling this one is tough but Liverpool have had one over City in the past couple of seasons in individual matches and they could prevail again here.
