EPL Week 14 Predictions
—
Ipswich Town vs Crystal Palace – Portman Road
Ipswich Town ($2.90)
Crystal Palace ($2.50)
Draw ($3.50)
Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace lock horns here, with both sides needing points in their respective relegation scraps. Ipswich are firmly encased in the bottom three but have been showing signs of improvement recently, particularly at home. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace struck in the dying embers to pinch a point against Newcastle last week and they are beginning to look as if they could climb away from trouble. This will be tight and both sides may settle for a draw.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.50)
1-1 Draw
Leicester City vs West Ham United – King Power Stadium
Leicester City ($2.88)
West Ham United ($2.50)
Draw ($3.60)
The Ruud van Nistelrooy era at Leicester City gets under way with a home meeting with West Ham. Climbing away from relegation trouble will be the priority for the Foxes and after being well beaten at Brentford last time out, they will need to bounce back. A similar story can be told for West Ham, who were thrashed by Arsenal last weekend and need to start climbing the table quickly. Confidence will be low in both camps, and this could be a cagey draw.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.60)
1-1 Draw
Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest – Etihad Stadium
Manchester City ($1.36)
Nottingham Forest ($9.50)
Draw ($5.60)
Champions Manchester City have all but relinquished their Premier League title already, following 4 consecutive defeats in the league but pride is at stake here against Nottingham Forest. The blues are low on confidence and look short of ideas in forward areas, a huge concern for all at the club. Forest won’t fear this assignment, especially as the only side to beat Liverpool this season and this could end up being a draw at a frustrated Etihad Stadium.
Betting Tip: The match to finish as a draw ($5.60)
1-1 Draw
Everton vs Wolves – Goodison Park
Everton ($2.15)
Wolves ($3.60)
Draw ($3.55)
Two more sides in big basement trouble meet here, as Everton host Wolves. The Toffees are finding it tough at the moment, particularly in front of goal and Sean Dyche’s side were well beaten by Manchester United at the weekend. Wolves failed to build on their good win at Fulham, crumbling at home to Bournemouth and they look to have plenty of issues of their own. Everton are a tough nut to crack at home though and they could pinch the points here.
Betting tip: Everton to win the match ($2.15)
Everton to win 1-0
Newcastle United vs Liverpool – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($4.33)
Liverpool ($1.83)
Draw ($4.10)
Champions elect Liverpool know that they have a tough trip on their hands, as they head up to the North East to take on Newcastle. Eddie Howe’s side are struggling a touch this season, particularly for consistency but they have seen off Arsenal already at home this term. The reds meanwhile are in rampant form, having overcome both Manchester City and Real Madrid in recent weeks and there looks to be no stopping them. Newcastle will be up for this, but Liverpool are simply too good for all in front of them at the moment.
Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.83)
Liverpool to win 3-1
Southampton vs Chelsea – St Mary’s Stadium
Southampton ($8.00)
Chelsea ($1.43)
Draw ($5.25)
A hard earned point on the road at Brighton will be a big boost for Southampton and they take on Chelsea next. The Saints will be taking it a game at a time, as they look to climb out of the bottom three, but their home form has perhaps been their biggest concern. Chelsea meanwhile are purring under Enzo Maresca, and they are sat comfortably inside the top 4 and this season does feel like a bit of a free hit for them. Chelsea are going well, so they should come out on top here.
Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.43)
Chelsea to win 3-1
Aston Villa vs Brentford – Villa Park
Aston Villa ($1.83)
Brentford ($4.33)
Draw ($4.00)
Another side struggling for form here are Aston Villa and they will be looking to find their groove once more against Brentford. Villa remain a force to be reckoned with, but they are struggling to cope with the demands of both the Premier League and the Champions League currently. Brentford continue to punch above their weight for Thomas Frank and they will fancy their chances in the West Midlands, but Villa look good value for a home win.
Betting tip: Aston Villa to win the match ($1.83)
Aston Villa to win 2-0
Arsenal vs Manchester United – Emirates Stadium
Arsenal ($1.50)
Manchester United ($7.50)
Draw ($4.90)
Ruben Amorim faces his first true test in charge of Manchester United, as the reds travel to Arsenal. Mikel Arteta has his side purring again and the Gunners look to have found their groove, particularly in front of goal this season. Manchester United are plugging away and picked up a decent win over Everton last time out but have work to do this season if they are to get back into the race for the top 4. Arsenal have the bit between their teeth though and they should prevail here.
Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match ($1.50)
Arsenal to win 2-1
Fulham vs Brighton – Craven Cottage
Fulham ($2.38)
Brighton ($3.00)
Draw ($3.75)
Two sides who have started the campaign pretty well meet here, as Fulham host Brighton. Picking up a draw at Spurs will be a big confidence booster for Fulham and they look to have a side capable of challenging for a top 10 finish. Meanwhile, Brighton are in the same boat, flying high inside the top 4 and they look to be well on their way to push for a European spot next season. This should be a belter, with a high scoring draw our call.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.75)
2-2 Draw
Bournemouth vs Tottenham – Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth ($2.75)
Tottenham ($2.45)
Draw ($4.00)
Bournemouth will be looking to continue their excellent run of form here, as they host Tottenham. The Cherries are flying, particularly at home and they will see this as another chance to have a crack at a big side. Spurs meanwhile cannot seem to string two results together but have been playing some very good football away from home. Calling this one is tough but Spurs may just have enough quality to get the job done on the road.
Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match ($2.45)
Tottenham to win 2-1
