2019/20 EPL Week 26 (Week 2) Preview

Wolves vs Leicester City – Molineux

Wolves ($2.5)

Leicester City ($2.9)

Draw ($3.25)

Two sides looking to continue their excellent season face off in the West Midlands as Wolves host Leicester City. Nuno Esporito Santo’s men find themselves flying high in 9th in the Premier League table and with a congested picture above them, they will be hoping to sneak into the top 6 come the end of the campaign. Inconsistency has crept into their game in recent weeks, but they are a very difficult side to beat at home particularly. Leicester City meanwhile remain in 3rd place in the Premier League table but the chasing pack are starting to gather momentum behind them. Brendan Rodgers’s men look to have lost their way a little in recent weeks but their 2-2 draw with Chelsea could be the catalyst for a strong end to the season. This should be an excellent game at Molineux and the points could well be shared.

Southampton vs Burnley – St Mary’s Stadium

Southampton ($1.75)

Burnley ($5)

Draw ($3.75)

Southampton welcome Burnley to St Mary’s with both sides looking to build on recent upturns in form as they both continue to pull away from relegation trouble. Southampton have been one of the form sides in the division in recent weeks and have climbed up to 11th as a result. They suffered a painful defeat at Liverpool last time out in the league, but they will be keen to bounce back here. Burnley meanwhile had endured a similar start to the campaign and looked in relegation trouble, but they have bounced up the league table in recent weeks. The Clarets are unbeaten in their last three league games – against Arsenal, Leicester and Manchester United and they will be keen to kick on here and aim for a top half finish. This should be an excellent game between two sides full of confidence and it could well end up honours even on the South Coast.

Norwich City vs Liverpool – Carrow Road

Norwich City ($10)

Liverpool ($1.3)

Draw ($5.75)

It’s top vs bottom in the Premier League as Liverpool look to extend their lead even further at the top of the Premier League table. Norwich meanwhile will be buoyed by recent performances – only losing one of their last 4 matches and they will be looking to put a run together to pull away from relegation trouble. Daniel Farke’s men sit 7 points from safety and look to be all but relegated but they will be looking to show some fight here. Liverpool meanwhile continue to churn out the results and have only dropped points in one Premier League game so far this season. Their 22-point lead looks impossible to overturn and Jurgen Klopp’s men will be keen to enjoy their procession to the title this term. This should be a comfortable afternoon in East Anglia for Liverpool.

Liverpool to win 2-0

Aston Villa vs Tottenham – Villa Park

Aston Villa ($4.2)

Tottenham ($1.87)

Draw ($3.75)

Aston Villa take on Tottenham as Dean Smith’s men look to climb away from relegation trouble. The Villains sit one point and one place above the bottom three following their defeat at Bournemouth last time out. They continue to test most of the big sides and have reached the Carabao Cup final but need to string some results together in order to ensure their Premier League status next term. Tottenham meanwhile will come into this one buoyed following a famous win over Manchester City where they rode their luck at times. They have also progressed to round 5 of the FA Cup and Jose Mourinho will be keen to see his side finish the season strongly. Aston Villa will push Spurs here but Tottenham are a good side on the counter attack and they should prevail here.

Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match and both teams to score ($2.55) Bet Now

Tottenham to win 2-1

Arsenal vs Newcastle United – Emirates Stadium

Arsenal ($1.42)

Newcastle United ($8)

Draw ($4.8)

Arsenal host Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium with both sides eager to forge a route into the top half of the table come the end of the season. The Gunners look a little more settled under Mikel Arteta and he will be keen to introduce his new recruits during the second half of the campaign. Arsenal sit 10th but they are unbeaten in their last 5 matches and they may have one eye on the top 6 come May. Newcastle meanwhile sit level on points with the Gunners and they will be confident heading into this one. Steve Bruce has done an incredible job with the Magpies and they look set to finish well clear of the relegation picture this term. Arsenal will be relishing the opportunity to play at home here and they should just about come through this one.

Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match and both teams to score ($2.35) Bet Now

Arsenal to win 3-1

Chelsea vs Manchester United – Stamford Bridge

Chelsea ($1.85)

Manchester United ($4.35)

Draw ($3.8)

Two sides chasing a top 4 finish face off on Monday Night as Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge. The blues sit 4th following a strong season under the stewardship of Frank Lampard although the likes of Sheffield United and Tottenham have been closing the gap in recent weeks. With a youthful squad, the future looks bright for Chelsea and they will be keen to kick on and finish the season in style. Manchester United meanwhile have struggled for consistency throughout the campaign and sit in 8th as a result. They are only 6 points behind Chelsea however and a result here will spring them right back into contention to finish in the Champions League places. This should be the highlight fixture of the weekend which could well end up honours even in West London.
