2020/21 EPL Week 26 – Tips, Predictions & Odds

Manchester City continue to set the pace in the Premier League and their 1-0 win over Arsenal last time out cemented their position 10-points clear of the chasing pack. Liverpool were humbled by local rivals Everton to fall further off the pace but wins for Leicester and Manchester United kept them in the hunt. Tottenham’s woes continued, as they lost at West Ham whilst Chelsea picked up a point on the road at Southampton. Sheffield United continue to get cut adrift at the bottom of the pile, along with West Bromwich Albion – with both sides needing results quickly in order to stay up.

Premier League Week 26 Preview

Manchester City vs West Ham United – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City ($1.26)

West Ham ($14)

Draw ($7.2)

Manchester City will be looking to make a statement to the rest of the chasing pack as they host West Ham. The blues have been imperious of late, winning every game played in 2021 and they look to have the bit between their teeth currently. West Ham meanwhile are flying high in the top 4 of the league table and look to have genuine Champions League aspirations this term. They won well last time out over Tottenham and should arrive in Manchester full of confidence. City are a different animal however and the blues should pick up another hard fought win here.

Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match to nil ($1.75) Bet @ Sportsbet

Manchester City to win 2-0

West Bromwich Albion vs Brighton – The Hawthorns

West Bromwich Albion ($4.3)

Brighton ($2)

Draw ($3.55)

Brighton travel to West Bromwich Albion as they look to strike a decisive blow in the title race. West Brom sit 11-points from safety and it is very much now or never for Sam Allardyce and his side. They battled for a point at Burnley last time out and they will need to show the same sort of resolve here. Brighton meanwhile are not out of the woods yet and the manner of their defeat to Crystal Palace last time out could have the potential to be confidence smashing. They are a good footballing side however and could trouble West Brom sufficiently to pick up all three points here.

Betting tip: Brighton to win the match ($2) Bet @ Sportsbet

Brighton to win 2-1

Leeds United vs Aston Villa – Elland Road

Leeds United ($2.36)

Aston Villa ($3.17)

Draw ($3.75)

Two of the most entertaining sides in the division face off as Leeds host Aston Villa. The whites looked in superb nick as they overcame Southampton in midweek, and they will be eager to continue that form here. They look to have done enough to stay up already this term and could be eying up a top half finish. Aston Villa meanwhile are flying high in 8th and wins in their two games in hand would propel them up to the dizzy heights of 5th. They were well beaten by Leicester City last time out and need to keep picking up points to avoid dropping into the bottom half. This should be a superb game between two good sides and a draw looks to be on the cards.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.75) Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw

Newcastle United vs Wolves – St James’s Park

Newcastle United ($3.75)

Wolves ($2.25)

Draw ($3.3)

Relegation threatened Newcastle take on Wolves in what promises to be a big game for the Toon. Poor recent results have pushed Newcastle down to 17th, only 3 points above Fulham in the drop zone and they need to start picking up points immediately. Wolves meanwhile got back to winning ways over Leeds last time out and look to have found their mojo once more. A mid-table finish would be a decent return for a side riddled with injuries this term and they will be eager to keep picking up points and finish as high as possible. This could be a tight game and although Newcastle won’t roll over, Wolves could end up picking up a gritty win here.

Betting tip: Wolves to win the match ($2.25) Bet @ Sportsbet

Wolves to win 2-1

Crystal Palace vs Fulham – Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace ($3.65)

Fulham ($2.34)

Draw ($3.3)

A London Derby of sorts is on the cards as Crystal Palace host Fulham. Despite winning in the dying embers at Brighton on Monday night, Palace have endured a poor season by their standards, and they will be desperate to start climbing the table over the last 13 games of the campaign. Despite only winning 4 league games, Fulham have made a habit of being a difficult to beat and find themselves only 3 points from safety as a result. Scott Parker has masterminded the transformation and he will be keen to complete the job. This could be a very tight game between two sides scrapping for their lives and a draw looks to be the most likely outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.3) Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw

Leicester City vs Arsenal – King Power Stadium

Leicester City ($2.62)

Arsenal ($3)

Draw ($3.5)

Leicester City will be hoping to put their Europa League disappointment behind them as they take on Arsenal. The Foxes have been in superb form in the Premier League, flying high in 3rd and that will become their priority for the rest of the campaign. Every game is crucial for Brendan Rodgers and his men and this is another massive fixture. Arsenal meanwhile managed to progress in the Europa League, but their league form has been poor. They were well beaten by Manchester City last time out and their league standing of 11th isn’t what the owners, fans or players would be expecting. This should be an excellent game, with Leicester most likely to pick up the win.

Betting tip: Leicester City to win the match ($2.62) Bet @ Sportsbet

Leicester City to win 2-1

Tottenham vs Burnley – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham ($1.6)

Burnley ($7.4)

Draw ($4.1)

Tottenham will be looking to arrest their alarming slide as they host Burnley. Spurs are languishing in 9th, 23 points off the pace in the Premier League and Jose Mourinho looks to have some serious issues on his hands. They progressed in the Europa League in midweek and will be eager to take that momentum into their Premier League form. Burnley meanwhile sit 15th; 6 points clear of the relegation zone, but they will know the job isn’t done yet. The Clarets are historically very adept at staying in the top-flight and they will fancy their chances of getting something here. Tottenham should be too strong though and could pick up a much needed win.

Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match ($1.6) Bet @ Sportsbet

Tottenham to win 2-0

Chelsea vs Manchester United – Stamford Bridge

Chelsea ($2.36)

Manchester United ($3.51)

Draw ($3.45)

Two Premier League giants face off as Chelsea host Manchester United. The blues have been a side reborn under Thomas Tuchel, underlined by their superb win over Atletico Madrid in midweek in the Champions League. They look to have a job on their hands to finish in the top 4 though and this is a crucial game in pursuit of that. Manchester United meanwhile are sitting pretty in the top 4 but with a 10-point deficit to Manchester City in the title race, look to have a serious catch up job on their hands. This should be a superb game with so much to play for and it could well end up being a draw in West London.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.45) Bet @ Sportsbet

1-1 Draw

Sheffield United vs Liverpool – Bramall Lane

Sheffield United ($8.6)

Liverpool ($1.43)

Draw ($5.4)

Bottom of the table Sheffield United will know it is now or never as they take on last year’s champions Liverpool. United are 14 points adrift in their survival bid and with only 13 games to play, the odds look to be stacked against them. They take on a Liverpool side that look to be low on confidence this term and sit 19 points off the pace in the title race. They are still in the Champions League however and they will want to secure their place in the top 4 with next season looming already. Sheffield United will be up for this one but Liverpool should get the job done relatively comfortably.

Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.43) Bet @ Sportsbet

Liverpool to win 3-1

Everton vs Southampton – Goodison Park

Everton ($2.24)

Southampton ($3.6)

Draw ($3.55)

Two sides that tend to bring entertainment and goals face off as Everton host Southampton. The Toffees picked up their first win at Anfield in over 20 years last time out and look to be brimming with confidence. They sit 7th and could still have a say in the outcome of the top 4 battle. Southampton meanwhile have faded badly in recent weeks and need to start finding form quickly. They were well beaten by Leeds in midweek and will be eager to bounce back here. Everton however are very strong currently and should pick up all three points in this one.

Betting tip: Everton to win the match ($2.24) Bet @ Sportsbet

Everton to win 2-1
