Manchester City conceded ground in the title race in a weekend littered with dodgy refereeing decisions and spectacular goals. City drew at Burnley, whilst Manchester United and Arsenal picked up comfortable wins at home whilst Chelsea’s problems under Antonio Conte got even worse with a 4-1 thumping at Watford.

Liverpool and Tottenham shared a 2-2 draw that had it all and there were crucial wins at the bottom of the table for Bournemouth, Brighton and Southampton with Premier League safety on the agenda for nearly half the clubs in the league currently.

Saturday 10/02/18

23:30 Tottenham vs Arsenal – Wembley Stadium

Tottenham ($2.05)

Arsenal ($3.75)

Draw ($4)

Saturday’s Premier League action kicks off with an intriguing North London Derby between two sides in resurgent form of late. Arsenal looked to be in disarray following their defeat to Swansea but bounced back in style to thrash Everton last time out whilst Tottenham comfortably beat Manchester United 2-0 before earning a gritty point on the road at Anfield last time out. Tottenham sit in 5th place in the Premier League, 1 point outside of the Champions League places with 12 games still to play and this will be their third game in a row against a direct rival in the top six. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have 49 points from their opening 26 games and are unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions. The doom and gloom at Arsenal has lifted in the past week with the arrivals of Henrikh Mhkitariyan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and their 5-1 thumping of Everton fresh in the memory. The Gunners remain 6th – 5 points off the top 4 in the Premier League and have work to do to be playing Champions League football next term but they are always a threat.

North London Derbies are notoriously fiery encounters and with so much at stake, tempers can often boil over.

Sunday 11/02/18

02:00 Everton vs Crystal Palace – Goodison Park

Everton ($2.4)

Crystal Palace ($3.65)

Draw ($3.3)

Two former England managers clash at Goodison Park as Sam Allardyce welcomes his predecessor Roy Hodgson and his Crystal Palace side to Merseyside with both teams looking to steer clear of the relegation picture indefinitely. Everton have struggled in recent weeks, with Allardyce bemoaning his defence whilst Palace have only lost twice in their last 15 matches but can’t seem to get away from the relegation shake-up. Sam Allardyce hasn’t been able to continue the boost he initially gave the club when he arrived late in 2017 – exacerbated by his team’s 5-1 thumping at Arsenal last time out. The Toffees are out of all cup competitions and sit 10th in the table with 12 games still to play – they are only 7 points above the relegation places however and will be feeling the need to get points on the board. Crystal Palace have been one of the form teams in the division – only losing twice in their last 15 Premier League matches (both to Arsenal) and they have climbed to 14th in the table as a result. Such was their disastrous start to the campaign, that they only sit 3 points above the relegation  zone and are very much in relegation contention.

If their previous meeting is anything to go by, this should be an excellent match between two teams prioritising Premier League safety.

02:00 Stoke City vs Brighton – Bet 365 Stadium

Stoke City ($2.2)

Brighton ($3.8)

Draw ($3.25)

The Bet 365 plays host to an intriguing basement battle as Paul Lambert’s Stoke City welcome Chris Hughton’s plucky Seagulls to Staffordshire. With only 3 points separating the sides in the table currently, there isn’t much to choose between the teams and with only 12 matches remaining in the Premier League season – there’s no room for manoeuvre in the bottom half of the table. With Mark Hughes’s tenure coming to an end earlier in the month, Paul Lambert was the surprise choice to replace the Welshman at the Bet 365 Stadium and it’s been a mixed start for the experienced Scot. The Potters currently sit 18th in the table, with 24 points from 26 games and in the relegation zone on goal difference only. Chris Hughton’s men continue to defy the odds in the Premier League and despite only sitting 3 points above the relegation zone, they look well up for the scrap this term. Following their 3-1 win over West Ham last time out, the Seagulls have 27 points from their opening 26 games and sit 13th in the table.

This could be a fiery encounter between two sides that need to register points to maintain their push away from relegation.

02:00 Swansea City vs Burnley – Liberty Stadium

Swansea City ($2.5)

Burnley ($3.25)

Draw ($3)

The Carlos Carvahal revolution is in full flow at the Liberty Stadium as they welcome Sean Dyche’s impressive Burnley to South Wales – fresh off the back of the Clarets famous 1-1 draw with Manchester City. The Swans now find themselves out of the relegation zone – albeit on goal difference – but they will be confident of yet another great escape to preserve their Premier League status for another season. Carlos Carvahal has had an instant impact at the Liberty Stadium – only losing one of his 9 games in charge so far in all competitions. Famous home wins over Liverpool and Arsenal as well as a point on the road at Leicester last time out have propelled the Swans up the table to 17th place with 24 points from their opening 26 matches. The Clarets have enjoyed an amazing first half of the season and sit 7th with only 12 games remaining and they have a remarkable 36 points to their name. They are however, without a win in their last 10 matches in all competitions and should be buoyed by their incredible performance against Manchester City, coming from behind to draw 1-1.

This could be a fascinating game between two confident sides that need points for very different reasons.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw and both teams to score ($4.75) BET NOW

1-1 Draw

02:00 West Ham United vs Watford – London Olympic Stadium

West Ham United ($2.5)

Watford ($3.2)

Draw ($3.4)

David Moyes will be keen to see his team return to winning ways as they welcome Javi Gracia’s Watford to the London Olympic Stadium. The Hornets have been in free fall in recent weeks and find themselves only 4 points clear from the drop zone whilst West Ham’s problems have been well documented all season and consistency is the only thing that has eluded Moyes’s men so far this term. David Moyes has overseen a real transformation at the London Olympic Stadium and they have risen to 12th in the table but such is the congestion at the bottom of the table, they are only 3 points above the relegation places. Defeats in their last 2 matches however: 2-0 FA Cup defeat to League One Wigan and 3-1 thumping at the hands of Brighton last time out, will be a concern for Moyes’s men. Marco Silva had a fantastic start to the season with the Hornets but a barren run over the festive period ultimately cost the Portuguese manager his job and Javi Gracia has been brought in to steady the ship. Watford sit 11th in the table with 30 points and their 4-1 defeat of Chelsea on Monday could be their catalyst in 2018.

Both teams have struggled defensively this term and with the plethora of attacking talent on show, they could end up cancelling each other out.

04:30 Manchester City vs Leicester City – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City ($1.25)

Leicester City ($15)

Draw ($7)

Two of the form teams in the division face off on Saturday evening in Manchester in what promises to be a fascinating encounter at the Etihad Stadium. With Manchester United not playing until Sunday, Manchester City have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 16 points whilst Leicester will be keen to return to winning ways following their draw with Swansea City last time out. Bouncing back from a defeat was always going to be the toughest test for Manchester City who have displayed real mental toughness in their last 4 games – winning 3 and drawing 1. With only 12 games to play, the Blues sit 13 points clear in the Premier League title race and are very much the team to catch with 69 points to their name. Claude Puel is going through a sticky period with the Foxes, who despite being 8th in the Premier League table, haven’t won in their last 2 Premier League games. However, they are very much in with an outside chance of playing European football next season and with FA Cup progress secured, they can put all of their attention into improving their Premier League position.

This could well be the most entertaining match of the round between two forward thinking teams with plenty to play for.

23:00 Huddersfield vs Bournemouth – John Smith’s Stadium

Huddersfield ($3.4)

Bournemouth ($2.38)

Draw ($3.25)

David Wagner will be hoping his side can pull out of the relegation zone as they welcome in-form Bournemouth to the John Smith’s Stadium. The Cherries have stormed up the league in recent weeks, picking up famous wins over Arsenal and Chelsea but Eddie Howe will be keen to avoid any complacency from his team going into this one. The Terriers have slipped into the relegation zone in the Premier League and they are currently 19th in the standings, with only 24 points to their name. David Wagner’s men have only won twice in 2018 – both against Championship opposition in the FA Cup and their league form needs to improve dramatically. The Cherries are in fine form in the Premier League and are unbeaten in their last 7 league matches as they look to stretch away from the relegation zone – with back to back wins over Chelsea and Stoke to boot. Their FA Cup defeat to Wigan is the only blotch on their copy book in 2018 as Eddie Howe’s men sit 9th in the table with 31 points and Premier League safety looks a very achievable goal currently.

Bournemouth have been in great form and will arrive full of confidence but Huddersfield are due an improvement in the Premier League

01:15 Newcastle United vs Manchester United – St James’s Park

Newcastle United ($6)

Manchester United ($1.69)

Draw ($3.8)

Two fabled rivals meet at St James’s Park on Sunday as Rafa Benitez welcomes Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side to the home of the Toon. Newcastle have shown resilience in recent weeks, picking up points home and away whilst United will be desperate to keep pace in their pursuit of Manchester City, who are in danger of getting away from them at the moment. The Toon have lacked consistency all season and as a result find themselves in 16th place in the Premier League table – 1 point above the dreaded drop zone but recent draws with Crystal Palace and Burnley will bring cause for optimism. 25 points from 26 games isn’t the return Rafa Benitez would have hoped for but with their passionate fan base behind them, the Magpies will be hoping to secure Premier League safety as soon as possible. The reds have been in great form in 2018, winning 6 of their 7 matches so far – with their defeat to Tottenham the only blotch on their copy book this year. With 56 points from 26 games they sit 2nd in the table – 13 points behind leaders Manchester City who will have one eye on the reds over their shoulder.

Manchester United have the meanest defence in the league and should have too much quality for Newcastle in a big match for both teams.

Manchester United to win 2-0

03:30 Southampton vs Liverpool – St Mary’s Stadium

Southampton ($5)

Liverpool ($1.8)

Draw ($4)

Mauricio Pellegrino welcomes his former side to St Mary’s as the Saints go in search of crucial points in their quest for safety whilst Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be desperate to recover from their penalty heartbreak against Tottenham and get back on track in their search of European football next season. The Saints find themselves 2 points clear of the relegation zone and are in the midst of a 6 match unbeaten run which could prove vital in their quest for Premier League safety. 26 points from as many games isn’t the ideal return for a team of the Saints’ quality but Mauricio Pellegrino will be looking to secure Premier League safety as a priority – currently in 15th position. The Reds had been in great form at the turn of the year but their 18 game unbeaten streak in all competitions came to an end at Swansea in the Premier League – a result compounded by a 3-2 home defeat to West Brom in the FA Cup. Jurgen Klopp has guided his men to 3rd in the Premier League table, with 51 points from their opening 26 games and they have only lost three times in the league all season. Southampton won’t make life easy for Liverpool but the reds have a lot of quality in forward areas and should get the job done on the South Coast.

07:00 Chelsea vs West Bromwich Albion – Stamford Bridge

Chelsea ($1.36)

West Bromwich Albion ($11)

Draw ($5)

The speculation and intrigue over the future of Antonio Conte at Chelsea continues to grow and Alan Pardew’s struggling Baggies will be desperate to cash in on the growing sense of vulnerability around Stamford Bridge. The Blues have suffered 2 emphatic defeats in the Premier League – to Bournemouth and Watford and need a win to ease the growing discontent around the Champions at the moment. The wheels are in danger of falling off for Chelsea this season – thumping’s at Watford and at home to Bournemouth have increased the scrutiny around the club and Antonio Conte looks to be scrapping to save his job. The Blues sit 4th in the Premier League table with 50 points from their opening 26 games and with 12 games to go, have a 19 point deficit to claw back on Manchester City and need to prioritise Champions League football next season. Languishing at the bottom of the table and 4 points from safety, Alan Pardew will have to pull off the great escape to ensure the Baggies are a Premier League team next season. West Brom have only won 3 Premier League games this season and have collected 20 points from their opening 26 games – a tally that needs drastic improvement. Chelsea are in disarray but should bounce back at home against a struggling West Bromwich Albion outfit.
