EPL Week 3 Expert Tips & Predictions 2026-27

Heavyweights Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are joined at the top of the Premier League tree by Hull City, with all four sides having won both of their opening games.

Trials and tribulations are sure to be faced along the way for every side, but Tottenham, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Coventry City are winless and are currently propping up the rest of the table.

Liverpool are awaiting their first win of the new season following two draws, whilst Manchester United opened their account last weekend over Ipswich Town.

Early stages of the season are always tricky for teams to navigate but with some hefty signings made across the division, this should be another bumper weekend of Premier League action.

Here are our top Premier League tips for the third weekend of the campaign:

Ipswich Town ($5.60)

For long periods at Old Trafford last weekend, Ipswich Town were well in the game against Manchester United and they will want a repeat showing here against Liverpool. The Tractor Boys look to have the tools to hurt some sides this season, and they will be eager to kick on in pursuit of Premier League survival. Liverpool are winless from their opening two, but they have managed to put teams under pressure and score goals, albeit looking defensively suspect. This could be an open game, which may suit Liverpool, who look decent value to prevail.

Newcastle United ($2.20)

Two of the most entertaining sides to watch in the opening weeks meet here, as Newcastle United and Bournemouth class in the North East. Toon pushed Liverpool all the way in their opening game, before they picked up an impressive win at Tottenham last time out. Bournemouth were undone in the dying embers by Manchester City in their opener, before also conceding a late equaliser at home to Everton last time out. Both of these sides will have a real go here, with all three results very much in play - making the draw the rational prediction.

It has been an impressive start to the campaign for Brentford, who hammered Tottenham, before picking up a decent point against Leeds last time out. Next up is a meeting with Sunderland, who also secured their first win of the season against Fulham last time out. Both of these sides should be feeling relatively confident ahead of this one, with some very good operators in both squads. However, Brentford are very good at home, and they could overpower the Black Cats here.

A pair of sides chasing their first wins of the campaign meet here, as Fulham and Crystal Palace clash on the Thames. Fulham were undone by Chelsea and Sunderland in their first two and the home fans will be demanding a response. Crystal Palace also found Everton and Manchester City too hot to handle and they are chasing their first points of the season. Confidence could be low in both camps ahead of this one, making a draw decent value.

Nottingham Forest picked up their first point of the season at Anfield last weekend and they will be looking for another strong showing here against Spurs. Forest have been very good at home for a couple of seasons and Oliver Glasner will be chasing his first win as manager. Tottenham meanwhile are in disarray, having lost their opening two and the pressure is already mounting on this Spurs squad. This could be tight and cagey, and both sides will be desperate not to lose, bringing the draw into play.

Promoted Coventry City are chasing their first points of the season and things don’t get any easier here, as they travel to Manchester City. For the hosts, this is a new start under Enzo Maresca and with a complete overhaul of the squad, they look ready to challenge once again across all four competitions. Coventry meanwhile are getting to grips with life back in the top flight and will certainly cause City a few issues. However, City are normally very strong at home and they could prevail here.

Two sides looking to break the top half of the Premier League table at the end of the season meet here, as Brighton host Leeds. The Seagulls were undone by Chelsea last time out but always bring goals and flair to every game that they play. Leeds held Brentford to a good point, after beating Nottingham Forest on the opening day and they look well placed this term. There won’t be much in this one, but Brighton are good at home and could sneak over the line.

It has been a tough start to the season for Aston Villa, and they will be chasing their first points of the campaign at Hull City. The Tigers have won both of their opening games and are ticking along very well indeed, with survival on their mind. Villa meanwhile are still searching for momentum, having seen so many of their biggest names leave the club this summer. This could be tight, but Villa should have enough about them to prevail.

Everton will be looking to build on their unbeaten start to the campaign, as they host Manchester United. The Toffees have undergone another rebuild under David Moyes but have the likes of Jack Grealish back in their camp and should be bang up for this one. United meanwhile picked up a resounding home win over Ipswich Town and Michael Carrick’s side will be looking to take the next step forward in the title race. United look well placed and they should pick up a good win on Merseyside here.

Two sides in the title hunt meet here, as champions Arsenal take on Chelsea in front of their home fans. The Emirates should be rocking for this one, as the Gunners look to keep momentum going across all four fronts. Chelsea should be up for the challenge too, having banged the goals in so far but they do have some defensive issues to iron out. That could prove to be the difference between these two here, with Arsenal looking to be way too strong at home.
