With Manchester City having bagged the first trophy of the season with the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup semi-finals now set, the cut and thrust of the Premier League returns.
Arsenal may have suffered disappointment in both cup competitions, but they still have the Premier League title very much in their own hands, with a decent gap to Manchester City in behind them.
Manchester United look well placed to finish third, while Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa are vying for the final two Champions League placed.
Wolves, West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham and Burnley are in mighty survival scrap and this weekend could prove to be defining for all of those sides.
This should be another intriguing weekend of games and here are our top Premier League tips:
West Ham United ($1.85)
Wolves ($4.30)
Draw ($3.50)
A heartbreaking loss in the FA Cup will certainly be troubling West Ham ahead of this clash against Wolves, but it should serve as extra motivation for the Hammers. Premier League survival has fast become the most important thing for West Ham, and a win here could go a long way towards securing that. For Wolves, this is another free hit, having shown huge signs of improvement in recent times. They haven’t played for almost a month as a team though and West Ham could be a touch more match ready here and prevail at home.
West Ham United to win 3-1
Arsenal ($1.45)
Bournemouth ($7.50)
Draw ($5.50)
A gritty win at Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League looks to have given Arsenal belief again and they can take a giant step towards the Premier League title here, as they host Bournemouth. The Gunners dug deep to win in Portugal, and another triumph here would be significant too. Bournemouth are dangerous and won’t fear this task, with nervousness sure to breed around the Emirates. However, Arsenal are the real deal this term and they should come out on top here.
Arsenal to win 3-1
Burnley ($4.50)
Brighton ($1.75)
Draw ($4.00)
Things are beginning to look a little desperate for Burnley in their bid for survival and they have a tough looking encounter with Brighton on the cards here. The Clarets have plugged away all season, without much return and look set to bounce back down to the Championship again. Brighton meanwhile broke their funk with a super win over Liverpool last time out, a result they will be eager to build upon here. Turf Moor is never an easy place to go but Brighton should triumph in this one.
Brighton to win 2-1
Brentford ($2.25)
Everton ($3.60)
Draw ($3.40)
Two sides in the hunt for European football next season meet here, as Brentford host Everton. The Bees have been excellent all season, particularly at home and they will be bang up for this challenge. Everton meanwhile continue to punch above their weight too and their superb win over Chelsea last time out should give them a real boost ahead of this one. Both of these teams are enjoying great seasons and with that in mind, they may both be happy to settle for a draw.
1-1 Draw
Liverpool ($1.60)
Fulham ($5.40)
Draw ($4.50)
It has been a tough few weeks for Liverpool and things may not get much easier here, as they welcome Fulham to Merseyside. The reds have bombed out of the FA Cup and seemingly have their Champions League hopes hanging by a thread, but this is a chance to get back on track. Fulham meanwhile are purring under Marco Silva, and they should be ready to take it to the champions from the outset. Goals feel on the cards here, with Liverpool perhaps too potent in front of goal for the Cottagers.
Liverpool to win 3-1
Nottingham Forest ($2.70)
Aston Villa ($2.65)
Draw ($3.40)
A massive game at both ends of the PL table awaits here, as Nottingham Forest host Aston Villa. The Tricky Trees are putting together a decent survival bid, and they will want to rattle into high flying Villa from the outset. For Unai Emery’s side, this is a stern test of their top five credentials, and they know they are in for a tough task at Forest. However, Villa have tended to step up when it matters all season and they could triumph here.
Aston Villa to win 2-1
Crystal Palace ($3.00)
Newcastle United ($2.40)
Draw ($3.60)
Crystal Palace will be looking to make absolutely sure of their Premier League status, as they take on Newcastle United. It has been a rocky campaign for the Eagles, but they are in the hunt for European honours and will surely rebuild again this summer. Newcastle United meanwhile are also in a state of flux under Eddie Howe but finishing the season strongly will be their only current aim. Neither side is in great form, with the draw very much the value bet.
1-1 Draw
Sunderland ($2.60)
Tottenham ($2.75)
Draw ($3.50)
All eyes will be on Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge of Tottenham, as they travel to Sunderland, looking to secure their Premier League status. The Black Cats had wilted a bit this season but their win over Newcastle three weeks ago will continue to feel sweet. Spurs need something desperately, with Igor Tudor now departed and this is a colossal game for the club. Sunderland could be a touch undercooked here and Spurs have the tools to produce a big performance and collect a big result.
Tottenham to win 2-1
Chelsea ($3.20)
Manchester City ($2.15)
Draw ($3.80)
Things are beginning to look a little difficult for Chelsea and Liam Rosenior but his Chelsea side have the chance to strike a decisive blow to Manchester City’s title hopes. Chelsea are in the mix for the top five, plus the FA Cup but they have underwhelmed again this term. City meanwhile have one trophy in the bag but are pursuing three, however a loss here would see the end of their title tilt. Chelsea look to be a touch low on confidence and City could pick them off, even if it is not enough to impact the title race.
Manchester City to win 3-1
Manchester United ($1.60)
Leeds United ($5.50)
Draw ($4.30)
An old rivalry reunites here, as Manchester United host Leeds United at Old Trafford. Michael Carrick continues to get the best out of this Manchester United squad and they will be eager to sew up third place in the Premier League table quickly. Leeds now have the FA Cup semi-final to look forward to but securing their top flight status feels like their most significant task first and this is a tough game for Daniel Farke’s men. This will be tighter than the odds suggest but the Red Devils should prevail.
Manchester United to win 2-0
