Liverpool maintained their perfect start to the season with a dominant 3-1 win over Arsenal in game week 2 – to go top of the table by two points. Defending Champions Manchester City got back to winning ways at Bournemouth whilst Chelsea picked up their first top-flight win under Frank Lampard. Crystal Palace and Newcastle produced the shocks of the weekend, beating Manchester United and Tottenham respectively whilst Southampton and West Ham picked up their first wins of the season.
Here are our picks for the fourth round of fixtures in the Premier League:
Southampton vs Manchester United – St Mary’s Stadium
Manchester United ($2.1)
Manchester United travel to the South coast as they look to ease the pressure mounting on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Southampton picked up their first win of the season last time out against Brighton and they will be keen to build on that performance in front of their home fans. For United meanwhile, they need to improve upon their points tally of 4 points from 3 games and with big-money new recruits Harry Maguire and Aaron wan Bissaka in their ranks, the Reds will be hoping to be a force to be reckoned with this term. Southampton will demonstrate plenty of battling qualities but United should have too much about them for the Saints here.

Manchester United to win 2-1
Chelsea vs Sheffield United – Stamford Bridge
Sheffield United ($11)
Chelsea take on newly promoted Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge as they look to build on last weekend’s win over Norwich City. Frank Lampard has added a youthful exuberance to Chelsea and they look like they will be playing entertaining football this term. The Blades meanwhile were promoted automatically last season and look to have one of the hottest properties in English football in Chris Wilder in charge. They suffered their first defeat of the season at home to Leicester City last time out and they will be eager to bounce back here. Chelsea should have too much about them to deal with the threats Sheffield United pose.
Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match and both teams to score ($2.3) – Bet Now
Chelsea to win 4-1
Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa – Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace ($2.29)
Aston Villa ($3.46)
Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace will be looking to kick on from their win at Manchester United as they face Aston Villa. The Eagles have had a mixed start to the season but continue to possess a potent attacking side that are more than capable of finishing in the top half of the table. For Villa meanwhile, the Premier League has been a challenge thus far – disastrous spells against Tottenham and Bournemouth cost them vital points but the manner of their 2-0 win at home to Everton will do all at the club a world of good. This should be an entertaining game but Palace should just about have too much about them for Dean Smith and his men.
Betting tip: Crystal Palace to win the match and both teams to score ($3.1) – Bet Now
Crystal Palace to win 3-1
Leicester City vs Bournemouth – King Power Stadium
Leicester City ($1.75)
Unbeaten Leicester City will take on Bournemouth at home as they look to keep their record intact going into September. For Leicester, climbing the league is sure to be the priority this season and they have picked up 5 points from their opening 3 games and the manner of their win at Sheffield United last time out will fill them with confidence. The Cherries are part of the Premier League furniture under Eddie Howe and they showed real resilience in defeat against Manchester City last time out but their away form has been a concern throughout their stay in the top-flight. This could be a very open game that Leicester should well prevail in.
Betting tip: Leicester City to win the match ($1.75) – Bet Now
Leicester City to win 3-1
Manchester City vs Brighton – Etihad Stadium
Manchester City ($1.1)
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be looking to pick up their first home win of the season as they take on Brighton. City looked at their imperious best against Bournemouth last time out – winning 3-1 to climb to second place in the table. They continue to carry an ominous goal threat too, having scored 10 goals in their opening 3 games. Brighton meanwhile will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Southampton last time out but with 4 points already on the board and more of a goal threat this season, they could be a fun side to watch. City have had too much about them for pretty much every side over the past 2 seasons and they should dominate here.
Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match to nil ($1.45) – Bet Now
Manchester City to win 3-0
Newcastle vs Watford – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($2.6)
Steve Bruce will be seeking his first home win as Newcastle manager as the Magpies take on languishing Watford. Newcastle picked up a famous 1-0 win at Tottenham last time out and they will be looking to build on that in front of their passionate home faithful. Watford have lost all 3 of their opening league games and they have lost talismanic striker Troy Deeney to a long term injury. Javi Gracia will be looking to ease the pressure on himself and his side and it could be a tight game that ends up honours even in the North East.

West Ham United vs Norwich City – London Olympic Stadium
West Ham United ($1.98)
Norwich City ($4.33)
West Ham United take on Norwich at the London Olympic Stadium with both sides looking to climb the table. The Hammers have picked up a point at Brighton and a well-earned win at Watford in their last two games and Manuel Pellegrini is starting to get his side ticking. Newly promoted Norwich have been inconsistent in since their arrival in the top flight but with goal scoring machine Teemu Pukki in their ranks, they look to have the fire power to stage a strong survival bid. Norwich could trouble West Ham but the Hammers will be confident of picking up another three points here.

West Ham United to win 3-1
Burnley vs Liverpool – Turf Moor
Table-topping Liverpool travel to Burnley as they look to keep their 100% Premier League record in tact this season. Burnley have looked in good shape so far this term – thrashing Southampton 3-0 on the opening day as well as picking up a point at Wolves last time out. With Ashley Barnes banging in the goals, Sean Dyche will be confident of seeing his side climb the table this season. Liverpool demolished Arsenal last time out and they will be eager to maintain their 2 point lead at the top of the table. With Champions League distractions to come through the autumn, Jurgen Klopp will be eager to see his side keep picking up the points. Turf Moor is one of the toughest places to go in the league but Liverpool should pick up a hard fought win here.
Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match and both teams to score ($1.85) – Bet Now
Liverpool to win 3-1
Everton vs Wolves – Goodison Park
Two sides looking to challenge the top six face off on Merseyside as Everton host Wolves on Super Sunday. The Toffees looked good in their opening two games before succumbing to Aston Villa last time out in a disappointing showing. Wolves meanwhile seem distracted by their Europa League showing and are yet to win a Premier League game this season. They did however show real character to pick up a point in the dying second against Burnley last time out and they will be looking to build on that result here. This should be a very tight game that could well end up honours even at Goodison Park.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.32) – Bet Now
Arsenal vs Tottenham – Emirates Stadium
A North London derby concludes the fixture list on Sunday as Tottenham travel across the capital to take on Arsenal. Both sides lost their first games of the season last time out with Arsenal going down 3-1 to Liverpool but with 2 wins prior to that, Unai Emery’s men have shown positive signs this season. Tottenham meanwhile have looked picked up 4 points from their opening 3 games and despite picking up a point at Manchester City, the manner of their 1-0 loss to Newcastle last weekend is sure to be a cause for concern. There will be no love lost in this one and it should end up honours even at the Emirates.
