Liverpool continues to blaze a trail at the top of the Premier League making it six wins from their opening six games at the expense of Southampton. Manchester City and Tottenham picked up wins in pursuit of the reds whilst Chelsea dropped points at West Ham in an attritional London Derby. Manchester United’s problems continue to mount as Wolves took points off Mourinho’s men and Burnley climbed off the bottom of the table with a 4-0 thumping of Bournemouth.
With huge games on the horizon once more in the Premier League, it promises to be another fascinating week with Chelsea vs Liverpool being the highlight of the fixture list.
Here are our picks for the seventh round of fixtures in the Premier League:
9:30pm West Ham United vs Manchester United – London Olympic Stadium
West Ham United ($4.65)
Manchester United ($1.88)
It has been yet another difficult week for Manchester United who dropped points at home to newly promoted Wolves before crashing out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Championship side Derby County. Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers meanwhile have solidified defensively in recent weeks and are starting to climb the table and come into this one fresh off the back of an impressive home draw against local rivals Chelsea. After being bottom of the table after 4 games, the sharks were circling for Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham but the Chilean has bounced back impressively in recent weeks. A 3-1 win at Everton was followed up with an impressive 0-0 draw at home to Chelsea where the Hammers started to show strong team cohesion that will be essential for their survival bid this season. The games are lining up thick and fast for Manchester United currently but they can’t seem to generate any sort of consistent level of form. A home draw to Wolves last time out has left them 8 points off the pace in the Premier League and the midweek defeat to Derby in the Carabao Cup has raised serious questions for Jose Mourinho. Manchester United need a response after a couple of poor results and West Ham will be a stern test but the Red Devils should get through this one unscathed.
Betting tip: Manchester United to win the match and both teams to score ($3.75) – BET NOW
Manchester United to win 2-1
12:00am Arsenal vs Watford – Emirates Stadium
High-flying Watford travel to Unai Emery’s in-from Arsenal in what promises to be a fascinating North London Derby. The Gunners have seen their form pick up in recent weeks – domestically and in Europe and they look well equipped to make an assault on the Champions League places this season whilst Watford, have been the surprise package so far this term in the Premier League. The Gunners are in fine form in the Premier League – with 4 wins on the spin coupled with an impressive win in the Europa League to boot. Unai Emery looks to be feeding his ideologies to the players quickly and his favoured free flowing, attacking style looks to be the perfect match for the Gunners faithful. The Hornets have had a solid start to the season – picking up 13 points from their opening 6 games to dispel any early season relegation fears. The Hornets currently sit 4th in the table and they will be hoping to sustain such form throughout the season under Javi Gracia. Arsenal are in the midst of a five-match winning streak in all competitions and whilst Watford will arrive full of confidence, the Gunners should possess too much quality in what promises to be a very entertaining encounter at the Emirates.
Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match and both teams to score ($3.45) – BET NOW
Arsenal to win 2-1
12:00am Everton vs Fulham – Goodison Park
Two of the most enigmatic managers in the Premier League face off as Marco Silva welcomes Slavisa Jokanovic and his Fulham side to Goodison Park in what promises to be an entertaining encounter. Both sides have impressed at times in the Premier League this season but their respective defences have proven to be their Achilles Heel and they will both be looking to sure things up here. Back to back defeats in the Premier League have stalled Everton’s progress under Marco Silva somewhat and he will be hoping for a response from his charges here. The Toffees currently sit 12th in the Premier League and they will be hoping to see their fortunes change quickly as they push for the top half of the Premier League. Consistency looks to be the primary issue for Fulham who clawed back from 1-o down to earn a point at home to Watford last time out. Their 3-1 win at Millwall in the Carabao Cup should breed confidence within the squad as they look to improve on their league standing of 15th. Both sides come into this one desperately needing a win and with goals almost guaranteed this could go either way but Everton, with home support backing them, should have too much about them for Fulham here.
Betting tip: Everton to win the match and both teams to score ($3.2) – BET NOW
Everton to win 4-2
12:00am Huddersfield Town vs Tottenham – John Smiths Stadium
Huddersfield Town ($8)
David Wagner’s struggling Huddersfield Town welcome Tottenham to West Yorkshire in what promises to be an intriguing encounter. Huddersfield have really struggled so far this season, a far cry from the dizzy heights they reached last term whilst Tottenham have endured an inconsistent opening to their Premier League campaign. With only 3 goals scored and 2 points registered from their opening 6 Premier League matches David Wagner has endured a tough start to the season. They took the lead against Leicester last time out but ultimately fell 3-1 as their defensive issues continue to rear their ugly head week in, week out. Tottenham put a halt to their losing streak last time out – winning 2-1 at Brighton in what was a gritty performance. Mauricio Pochettino’s men currently sit 5th in the table and look well placed to make an assault on the Champions League places this term. Huddersfield Town will look to frustrate Tottenham for long periods and will be cheered on by passionate home support but Spurs have too much quality in their ranks and should get the job done here in relatively comfortable fashion.
Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match to nil ($2.3) – BET NOW
Tottenham to win 2-0
12:00am Manchester City vs Brighton – Etihad Stadium
Manchester City ($1.08)
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have emphatically bounced back from their Champions League humbling at the hands of Lyon last week – winning their last 2 games and scoring 8 goals in the process and they welcome Brighton next to the Etihad. The Seagulls have had a solid start to the season and they will be looking to take the game to the champions in their own back yard. Currently unbeaten domestically, Manchester City look well placed to make a strong defence of their Premier League title. Last weekends’ 5-0 win over Cardiff City underlined the Blues potential once again as they currently sit 2nd in the Premier League – two points behind all-conquering Liverpool. With 5 points from their opening 6 games, the Seagulls have had a solid start to Premier League life but need it to continue if they are to avoid the relegation scrap. They were disappointing in defeat last time out at home to Tottenham and will need to show their defensive qualities once again here. Brighton will adopt a defensive approach and they will look to starve City of the ball as much as possible but the blues have plenty of options available and should stay patient and get the job done here.
Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match to nil ($1.73) – BET NOW
Manchester City to win 3-0
12:00am Newcastle United vs Leicester City – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($2.45)
Leicester City ($2.9)
Rafa Benitez is still in search of his first win of the season in charge of Newcastle as his side welcome Claude Puel’s Leicester City to St James’s Park. The Toon have endured a tough start to the campaign, with off field problems at boardroom level still prominent whilst Leicester have been relatively inconsistent so far this term. The Toon have struggled so far this season, with only 2 points to their name with 6 games played, they need a dramatic improvement quickly. Last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace could prove to be a decent point earned for the Magpies who have really struggled for goals so far this campaign. Claude Puel’s side got back to winning ways last time out in the Premier League at the expense of Huddersfield and then backed it up with a Carabao Cup penalties win over Wolves. With goals flying in at both ends, it promises to be a highly entertaining season at the King Power Stadium and the Foxes will be looking to improve on their current league standing of 9th. Leicester will have nothing to fear as they arrive at Newcastle and with the Toon struggling for form and confidence, the Foxes could well cash in here.

Leicester City to win 2-1
12:00am Wolves vs Southampton – Molineux
Nuno Esporito Santo’s in-form Wolves welcome Mark Hughes’s Southampton side to the Black Country in what promises to be a fascinating encounter. Wolves suffered Carabao Cup disappointment at the hands of Leicester in midweek but will still be high on confidence following their draw at Old Trafford whilst Southampton will be looking to bounce back from their 4-0 thumping at Liverpool quickly. Wolves have had a solid start to their Premier League season, picking up 9 points from their opening 6 games. Their 1-0 win over Burnley was followed up by an impressive 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United, a game in which Wolves had much of the possession and created many chances. The Saints’ 3 game unbeaten streak in all competitions came to a crashing end last time out at the hands of table topping Liverpool and they will be keen to get back to winning ways here. Currently sat in 14th place, with 6 points, Mark Hughes will be aiming to keep the Saints in the mid-table area all season if possible. Wolves are bang in form but have only won once at home this season and Southampton will be looking to bounce back from a poor showing at Liverpool and should nick a point here.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw and both teams to score ($5.2) – BET NOW
2:30am Chelsea vs Liverpool – Stamford Bridge
Two Premier League giants face off on Saturday evening for the second time in a week following Chelsea’s 2-1 Carabao Cup win at Anfield on Wednesday night. Liverpool have set the Premier League alight this season and are sitting pretty at the top of the table – having won all 6 of their opening fixtures, whilst Chelsea are also unbeaten in the league but will be looking to bounce back from a draw at West Ham last time out. The Blues have enjoyed an unbeaten start to their season in all competitions – winning 5 of their 6 Premier League games. They picked up a solid 1-0 win at PAOK in the Europa League before coming from behind to eliminate Liverpool from the Carabao Cup in midweek. Liverpool have enjoyed a perfect start to the season under Jurgen Klopp – winning all 6 of their opening Premier League fixtures to sit two points clear at the top of the table. They will be looking for instant revenge over Chelsea following their Carabao Cup defeat and they will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table. This promises to be the highlight of the footballing weekend, with two entertaining sides going head to head. With so much attacking quality on display, both defences will be tested and it could well end up being a highly charged, frenetic draw.

1:00am Cardiff City vs Burnley – Cardiff City Stadium
Cardiff City ($2.5)
Two Premier League strugglers face off on Sunday with Sean Dyche’s Burnley travelling to South Wales to pit their wits against Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City. Burnley picked up their first win of the season last time out – thumping Bournemouth at home to move off the foot of the table whilst Cardiff were humbled by Champions Manchester City and are still looking for their first win of the campaign. It has been a tough start to life back in the Premier League for Cardiff who have only managed to collect 2 points from their opening 6 games. Having suffered consecutive defeats to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, they will be targeting this game for some much needed points. The Clarets picked up an impressive first Premier League win last time out in the league – thumping Bournemouth 4-0 at Turf Morr to lift the gloom around the club. They now have 4 points from 6 games played and will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing midweek showing at Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup. This could be a very physical and attritional encounter between two sides low on confidence but Burnley, having won last time out could well pinch three much needed points here.
Betting tip: Burnley to win the match and under 2.5 goals in the game ($5.5) – BET NOW
Burnley to win 1-0
5:00am Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace – Vitality Stadium
Crystal Palace ($3.2)
Monday Night Football promises to be a highly entertaining encounter as Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth welcome Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace to the South Coast with both sides looking to respond from disappointing showings last time out in the Premier League. Palace had much of the play but couldn’t find a way past Newcastle whilst Bournemouth were thumped by Burnley at Turf Moor. The Cherries sit 8th in the Premier League in what has been a mixed start to the campaign for the Eddie Howe’s men – winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 2. Their performance last time out at Burnley raised a few concerns – losing 4-0 and they will be eager to bounce back again here, as they did in beating Blackburn 3-2 in the Carabao Cup in midweek. Crystal Palace are in the midst of a three-match unbeaten streak in all competitions, having thumped West Bromwich Albion 3-0 in the Carabao Cup in midweek. With 7 points from their opening 6 games, Roy Hodgson will be hoping his side can kick on from their reasonable start to the season and aim for a top half finish. With both sides looking to get much needed points on the board, this could be an excellent game and one that could see goals and action at both ends but will end up as a score draw.
