EPL Week 7 Predictions
—
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool – Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace ($6.00)
Liverpool ($1.55)
Draw ($4.70)
Crystal Palace host Liverpool in what should be a fantastic opener to the weekend, with both sides needing the points for very different reasons. Crystal Palace have been below par so far this term, squandering a lead at Everton last weekend and their wait for a first win of the campaign goes on. Meanwhile, Liverpool have navigated some tricky games in recent weeks and still sit at the top of the tree and Arne Slot knows that a win for his men here, keeps them sitting pretty at the top of the pile. This will be tight, but Liverpool should come out on top here.
Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.55)
Liverpool to win 3-1
Brentford vs Wolves – Brentford Community Stadium
Brentford ($2.05)
Wolves ($3.80)
Draw ($3.75)
It has been a tough start to the season for Wolves and it doesn’t look to be getting any easier, as they travel to London to take on Brentford. The Bees are going well again under Thomas Frank this season and a top half finish looks to be well within their reach. Meanwhile, Wolves are a side in flux under Gary O’Neill and they will be hoping one result can turn the tide for them. However, Brentford don’t lose many games at home and the Bees should come out on top here.
Betting tip: Brentford to win the match ($2.05)
Brentford to win 2-1
Leicester City vs Bournemouth – King Power Stadium
Leicester City ($3.25)
Bournemouth ($2.20)
Draw ($3.75)
Having come so close to picking up a point at Arsenal last weekend, Leicester City will be looking to bounce back here against Bournemouth. The Foxes were undone in injury time against the Gunners but there are plenty of positives for them to draw upon coming into this one. Speaking of positives, Bournemouth thumped Southampton last time out and are looking the part this season once again. This is a tough one to call, making the draw the most likely outcome.
Betting tip: The match to finish as draw ($3.75)
1-1 Draw
West Ham United vs Ipswich Town – London Olympic Stadium
West Ham United ($1.83)
Ipswich Town ($4.33)
Draw ($4.00)
It has been a tough start to the season for West Ham and their new manager Julen Lopategui and they look to have a chance to open their account at home against Ipswich Town. For the struggles endured by West Ham, Ipswich have been going pretty well this season and a good draw at home against Aston Villa last time out was a real mark of their progress. Ipswich could trouble West Ham a touch here, but the Hammers need a win at home, and they should just about squeeze one.
Betting Tip: West Ham to win the match ($1.83)
West Ham to win 2-1
Arsenal vs Southampton – Emirates Stadium
Arsenal ($1.14)
Southampton ($23.00)
Draw ($9.50)
It has been a tough start to life back in the Premier League for Southampton and it doesn’t look to be getting any easier, as they visit Arsenal. The Gunners have been imperious so far this season, with a solid win over PSG in the Champions League in midweek a serious sign of their intent this term. Southampton were hammered by neighbours Bournemouth last time out, a chastening result and it could be more of the same here in North London, with Arsenal ready to run riot.
Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match ($1.14)
Arsenal to win 4-0
Manchester City vs Fulham – Etihad Stadium
Manchester City ($1.25)
Fulham ($13.00)
Draw ($7.10)
Champions Manchester City will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League, as they take on Fulham. City thumped Slovan Bratislava in midweek and look to be finding a way without their key men but this is a big test against Fulham. The Cottagers are flying this term, and they will be relishing the chance to take the game to City in this one. A home defeat has not been on the cards for the blues for 2 years, but City look to be under the pump a little and Fulham could well shock them.
Betting tip: Fulham to win the match ($13.00)
Fulham to win 2-1
Everton vs Newcastle United – Goodison Park
Everton ($3.35)
Newcastle United ($2.15)
Draw ($3.80)
Having opened their account for the season against fellow strugglers Crystal Palace last time out, Everton take on high-flying Newcastle United. Toon are still basking in their famous home draw with Manchester City last time out and the world truly looks to be at the feet of Eddie Howe and his men. This should be a very watchable game, between two sides with contrasting styles and it will most likely be Newcastle who manage to bag the points in this one.
Betting tip: Newcastle United to win the match ($2.15)
Newcastle United to win 2-1
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest – Stamford Bridge
Chelsea ($1.50)
Nottingham Forest ($6.50)
Draw ($4.80)
There appears to be momentum building behind Chelsea all of a sudden and Enzo Maresca looks to be getting a tune out of his big squad. Next up is a tricky looking home clash against Nottingham Forest, a side that have picked up some good results this season and who are always tough to beat under Nuno Espirito Santo. This won’t be as one-sided as the odds suggest and there should be plenty of goals on display and Chelsea should come out on top.
Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.50)
Chelsea to win 4-2
Aston Villa vs Manchester United – Villa Park
Aston Villa ($2.30)
Manchester United ($3.05)
Draw ($3.80)
Two sides with hugely differing starts to the season meet here, as high-flying Aston Villa take on Manchester United. Villa have been in fine fettle of late and whilst the rigours of the Champions League could have on their squad is starting to tell and Unai Emery is feeling the weight of the number of games on the calendar. Manchester United await next though and the Red Devils are in the doldrums once again following a slow start to the season. Villa should win this one on paper but United may need to dig in here and they could pinch a point.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.80)
1-1 Draw
Brighton vs Tottenham – AMEX Stadium
Brighton ($2.90)
Tottenham ($2.25)
Draw ($4.10)
Following their superb win on the road at Manchester United last time out, Tottenham look to have another tricky task on their hands as they travel to Brighton. The Seagulls were well beaten by Chelsea last time out but have displayed plenty of flickers of brilliance this term and they will take the game to Spurs at home. For Tottenham, it is more of the same, as they look to develop some sense of consistency this season. This maybe tight, with Tottenham most likely to come out on top in a goal fest.
Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match ($2.25)
Tottenham to win 2-1
