The international hiatus is over and with all the national teams now confirmed for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, attention turns back to the domestic schedule and the English Premier League. The Manchester clubs (City and United) occupy the top two spots in the division and they very much look like the two teams to beat this term. Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool lead the chasing pack whilst the likes of Burnley and Watford will be looking to continue their impressive starts too.

Crystal Palace are already embroiled in a relegation battle and the likes of Bournemouth, Swansea City and Everton will be looking to steer clear of the dreaded drop zone too.

Here are our picks for the eighth round of fixtures in the Premier League:

Saturday 14/10/17

22:30 Liverpool vs Manchester United – Anfield

Liverpool ($2.77)

Manchester United ($2.8)

Draw ($3.5)

Unbeaten Manchester United travel to Anfield looking to make a real statement in their quest for their first Premier League title under Jose Mourinho. The Red Devils have only conceded in one of their games played this term (2-2 draw with Stoke) and have looked impressive – notiching up a staggering +19 goal difference already. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have struggled for consistency so far this season and would dearly love to get one over on their bitter rivals. Liverpool’s home form has been impressive however, as they have notched 7 points from their 3 home games with wins over Crystal Palace and Arsenal as well as a draw with Burnley.

Both teams will be pushing for the points and it promises to be a fascinating match.

Betting tip: Match to end as a draw and both teams to score – as a double ($4.25) BET NOW

1-1 Draw

Sunday 15/10/2017

01:00 Burnley vs West Ham – Turf Moor

Burnley ($2.6)

West Ham ($2.88)

Draw ($3.30)

The Clarets have had a phenomenal start to the season, beating Everton and Chelsea and drawing with Tottenham and Liverpool and Sean Dyche’s men are sitting pretty in 6th place in the Premier League table. Their only defeat of the season came at home – to West Bromwich Albion and they will be keen to get more points on the board on home turf. West Ham’s difficult start has been arrested with the Hammers picking up 7 points from their last 4 games to boost them up to 15th place in the league. Their last minute win over Swansea last time out should give Slavan Bilic’s men a real boost.

West Ham’s form has improved but Burnley are riding on the crest of a wave currently.

Betting tip: Chris Wood to score anytime and Burnley to win as a double ($7.55) BET NOW

Burnley to win 2-1

01:00 Crystal Palace vs Chelsea – Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace ($8.50)

Chelsea ($1.40)

Draw ($4.50)

Crystal Palace sit bottom of the Premier League table with the unprecedented record of having lost all 7 of their opening league matches and have failed to score as yet this season. Things don’t get easier for Roy Hodgson’s men however as last season’s champions Chelsea are the next team to visit Selhurst Park, looking to avenge their home defeat to title-rivals Manchester City.

The Eagles have had a disastrous start to their Premier League season and are in the midst of a relegation battle already and their failure to score a league goal has blighted their season. Antonio Conte’s Chelsea have struggled to replicate the form that saw them canter to the Premier League title last term – having already dropped 7 points this campaign.

Chelsea will be eager to get back to winning ways and keep Crystal Palace at bay in this match.

Betting tip: Chelsea to win and keep a clean sheet as a double ($2.67) BET NOW

Chelsea to win 2-0

01:00 Manchester City vs Stoke City – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City ($1.17)

Stoke City ($21)

Draw ($8.5)

Manchester City made a real statement last time out against Chelsea and will see this game against Stoke as a real opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League with Manchester United travelling to Liverpool. Stoke’s defence is one of the toughest to break down in the league and they will sit deep and look to catch City on the counter attack. Provided City can score early they should have no problem here but the longer the game goes on, the more Stoke will believe they can leave the Etihad with something.

City could have one eye on the Champions League tie against Napoli on Tuesday and will want to get this game boxed off as early as possible. Stoke will be resolute but City should have too much quality and too many options should they need them.

Betting tip:  Manchester City to win with a -2.75 Asian Handicap ($2.35) BET NOW

Manchester City to win 3-0

01:00 Swansea City vs Huddersfield – Liberty Stadium

Swansea City ($2.15)

Huddersfield ($3.80)

Draw ($3.30)

Swansea welcome newly promoted Huddersfield to South Wales desperately looking to improve on their lowly position of 18th place in the Premier League. They have dropped 4 points in injury time in the last 2 matches and Paul Clement will be desperate to see his team dig in and get the job done here. Huddersfield will be delighted with their start and sit in 11th place but their 4-0 home thumping at home to Tottenham last time out was an eye opener for David Wagner and his men.

Swansea need points and could have a little too much Premier League knowhow for the Terriers.

Betting tip: Swansea to win and under 2.5 goals in the game ($3.44)  BET NOW

Swansea to win 2-0

01:00 Tottenham vs Bournemouth – Wembley Stadium

Tottenham ($1.22)

Bournemouth ($15)

Draw ($7)

Tottenham’s domestic Wembley hoodoo is still looming large and Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be eager to get their first win at the home of English football. Harry Kane has banged the goals in of late and will be looking to continue his blistering form against the Cherries. Bournemouth have struggled this term and only have 4 points to their name but their 0-0 draw at home to Leicester last time out will give them cause for optimism.

Bournemouth won’t make life easy for Spurs but Tottenham look to be finding their best form.

Betting tip:  Tottenham to win the game and Harry Kane to score anytime ($1.63) BET NOW

Tottenham to win 3-0

03:30 Watford vs Arsenal – Vicarage Road

Watford ($5.50)

Arsenal ($1.67)

Draw ($4.2)

Watford’s impressive start to the season continued last time out with a gritty 2-2 draw at West Bromwich Albion – equalising in the last minute. Marco Silva has got the Hornets playing some impressive football and their only defeat this season came at the hands of high-flying Manchester City. Arsenal only sit one point above Watford in 5th place and the Gunners have been in good form in recent weeks – unbeaten in their last 7 matches in all competitions.

This could be a very even encounter with both sides full of confidence but Arsenal should have a little too much quality.

Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match and both teams to score ($3.00) BET NOW

Arsenal to win 2-1

23:30 Brighton vs Everton – AMEX Stadium

Brighton ($3.25)

Everton ($2.40)

Draw ($3.30)

Under fire Everton travel to newly-promoted Brighton in what promises to be a fascinating encounter on the south coast. Ronald Koeman’s men look to be lacking the potency of Romelu Lukaku up front and are languishing in 16th place in the Premier League following a home defeat to Burnley last time out. Chris Hughton’s Seagulls sit in 14th place on the same amount of points (7) and have picked up their 2 Premier League victories on home turf. Everton are in disarray currently and desperately need to pick up their first away win of the campaign – their only point on the road came on match day 2 at Manchester City. The Toffees have conceded 12 goals already this term despite the big money acquisitions of Jordan Pickford in goal and Michael Keane at centre back and will need to stop the rot as soon as possible.

Brighton have adapted to Premier League life well and should be able to keep Everton at bay.

Betting tip: Match to finish as a draw and under 2.5 goals in the game ($5.35) BET NOW

0-0 Draw

Monday 16/10/2017

02:00 Southampton vs Newcastle United – St Mary’s

Southampton ($1.83)

Newcastle United ($4.50)

Draw ($3.70)

Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle make the lengthy journey to the south coast to take on Mauricio Pellegrino’s Southampton. Pellegrino will face off against his former manager in what looks to be a real barometer in terms of where Southampton are at currently.  Southampton sit 3 places and 2 points behind the Magpies going into this one which promises to be an entertaining encounter. The Saints’ start to the season has been blighted by inconsistency with 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats from their first 7 games. Their last win at home win in all competitions came almost 2 months ago against West Ham, and they have also failed to score at St Mary’s since that victory. Newcastle have had an excellent return to the Premier League and are currently sitting in 9th place in the standings. With 3 wins, 3 losses and a well-earnt draw against Liverpool last time out, the Magpies looks full of confidence and are difficult to break down (only conceding 6 goals in 7 games).

Southampton will be eager to appease their home fans and get the win – despite Newcastle’s many threats.

Betting tip: Southampton to win and both teams to score – ($4.00) BET NOW

Southampton to win 2-1

Tuesday 17/10/2017

06:00 Leicester City vs West Bromwich Albion – King Power Stadium

Leicester City ($2)

West Bromwich Albion ($4.2)

Draw ($3.4)

Leicester City sit precariously close to the relegation zone and will be looking to collect some much needed points as they welcome Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion to the King Power Stadium. West Brom sit 7 places and 4 points above Leicester and have had an impressive start to the campaign. The Foxes have had a very tricky fixture list so far this term – facing Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal already in their opening 7 games. They’ve managed to score 9 goals in 7 games and have looked excellent going forward, more concerning for Craig Shakespeare will be his team’s defensive record – 12 goals have been shipped already this term.

The Baggies have epitomised a Tony Pulis side this term and sit in a stereotypical 10th place in the Premier League. Scoring 6 goals and conceding 8 from their first 7 games will be a record Pulis will be looking to improve upon and their form on the road (1 win, 2 defeats) is something they will need to improve upon.

Leicester have been dealt a rough fixture list this season and will be eager to get their first home win since August.

Betting tip: Leicester City to win the match and both teams to score. ($4.50) BET NOW

Leicester City to win 2-1
