Venue: Red Bull Ring, Austria.
Race Date: 28th June 2026
It has been all about Mercedes thus far in the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship and they will be looking to continue their procession here in Austria.
A European heatwave has disrupted pre-race plans but there should be a fantastic crowd in attendance, for one of the fastest growing events on the calendar.
It may be all about Mercedes on the leaderboards, but Red Bull will be at the forefront of people’s minds in their home race here and it should be a real test for everybody on the grid.
Lewis Hamilton won his race for Ferrari in Barcelona two weeks ago and he and his team should be full of confidence here but Kimi Antonelli remains the undoubted man to catch this season.
With plenty of races coming up over the European summer, this feels like a big one and it should be another intriguing weekend of action.

F1 Austrian Grand Prix Race Winner Markets
Action here in Austria should not disappoint and this could prove to be another pivotal weekend in the 2026 F1 season:
It has been a remarkable start to the 2026 season for teen sensation Kimi Antonelli but was Barcelona last time out the first time he has blinked this season?
Lewis Hamilton took the spoils, but Antonelli wasn’t able to mount a serious charge and there were a couple of cracks beginning to show.
That said, he has been imperious in every other race this term and his confidence appears to be sky high at the minute.
Austria won’t be an easy track for him, but he has the speed and the determination to get over the line here.
His Mercedes team mate George Russell showed up well in Barcelona but has lacked the same speed of Antonelli and he should be playing catch up again here in Austria.
It has to be taken one race at a time for Russell, who does have a bit of a mountain to climb in the overall title race, but a win here could do him the world of good.
Something has to give for Russell it feels at the moment, and he could enjoy racing with the pressure off in Austria.
Ferrari showed up well in Barcelona, with Lewis Hamilton picking up the win and how Charles Leclerc will be eager to get in on the act here.
Austria could be hot, fast and furious and Leclerc should be relishing those conditions on paper.
He will need to find a turn of speed to overcome the two Mercedes cars, but he has the potential and it’s time to start showing it.
F1 Austria Top Six Finish Markets
Finishing inside the top six here will be the key objective for plenty of names on the grid and this should be an action-packed week in Austria:
A podium showing for Lando Norris last time out suggests he is going in the right direction, and he will be eager to build on that here in Austria.
The defending champion remains an incredible driver and if he can get some open track, he will be tough to stop in the Austrian heat.
This Red Bull race should be all about Max Verstappen and the Dutchman will be desperate to put points on the board in Austria.
He has been driving with real confidence of late and if he can sneak into the top six, he will get a real boost from that.
McLaren are still finding their feet this term and Oscar Piastri is in the same boat.
Conditions should suit him and his car and much like Norris, he looks good value to crack the top six if things go his way.
