The idea that Lando Norris could be forcing his way to the top of the 2024 F1 Driver’s standings seemed nothing more than a pipe dream a few races ago, now the young Brit finds himself firmly in the hunt to become world champion. The implosion endured by defending champion Max Verstappen and his Red Bull team this season has been seismic, and Norris looks fully ready to take on the mantle and lay down another marker here in Baku.

Baku hasn’t been hugely kind to him in the past and he looks to be really battling with a faltering Red Bull car, which won’t do his confidence any good on arrival in Azerbaijan. That said, Verstappen is the reigning world champion, having claimed the title in each of the last 3 years and writing him off is never the wisest thing to do.
