Venue: Silverstone, UK.
Race Date: 5th July 2026
With George Russell roaring back into title contention in Austria last week, the 2026 F1 championship race looks to have opened up again.
There is no question that Mercedes are the team to beat, with Russell and Kimi Antonelli set for a battle royale over the coming weeks and races.
Last weekend in Austria will have also given hope to the chasing pack, with many drivers managing to navigate the heat and produce some very strong results.
That said, here at Silverstone the course remains one of the most challenging on the F1 circuit and there is no margin for error this weekend.
In the midst of the busy European race season, results are often far more important than performances and getting over the line will be essential for every driver here.

F1 British Grand Prix Race Winner Markets
Silverstone remains one of the most iconic stops of the season and this should be another huge weekend of racing:
Kimi Antonelli couldn’t keep pace with George Russell in Austria, but he remains at the very forefront of Mercedes title hopes this year.
The young Italian is a very composed operator, and he will relish the chance to test himself at Silverstone, one of the trickiest tracks on the circuit.
Winning at Silverstone feels as if it would be a huge marker in the sand for Antonelli, especially with George Russell stepping up his game and this feels like a race he is in a good position to win, provided things go his way across the weekend.
With plenty of rhetoric surrounding George Russell questioning his thirst for the fight in this title race, he responded emphatically in Austria.
Chipping away at Antonelli’s title lead and picking up results of his own volition will be the key aim for Russell over the coming weeks, and he will have hope support backing him here at Silverstone.
Momentum is so often key in the world of Formula 1 and if Russell can come out of the traps firing after his Austrian GP win, he could be quite tough to catch.
The very fact that Lewis Hamilton finds himself in third place in the odds here at the British Grand Prix is reflective of the upturn in form he has enjoyed in recent weeks.
He has begun to trust his Ferrari car in 2026, and the results are really starting to show for him.
Winning on home soil would be a huge coup for both Hamilton and Ferrari and he looks decent value to be in the hunt this weekend.
F1 British Grand Prix Top Six Finish Markets
Finishing inside the top six here will be the key objective for plenty of names on the grid and this should be an action-packed weekend at Silverstone:
The very presence of Max Verstapppen in races such as this tends to strike fear into the other drivers on the grid.
For the Dutchman, this is a complete free hit, with very little expectation surrounding him and when he sneaks under the radar, he is at his most dangerous.
Another Brit with strong home backing and seriously good memories of racing here at Silverstone is Lando Norris and he will be looking to back up his podium finish in Austria.
The defending champion has been off the pace this season, with a McLaren car that is struggling but he remains one of the most dangerous drivers on the grid and Silverstone remains his home track.
It is fair to say that Oscar Piastri has struggled this season, and he and McLaren are still searching for answers.
McLaren have shown signs of turning things around slightly in the past few weeks and a top six looks within reach for Piastri at Silverstone.
