The truncated Formula 1 season returns here in Canada, as the biggest names on the grid will be desperate to get back on the track and battling it out.
Enforced breaks have been the story of the season so far but it feels as if momentum can now be built from this weekend forwards, with the European swing fast approaching.
Mercedes have had the run on everybody else this term, with Kimi Antonelli showcasing his quality in each of the last three races and he will be desperate to kick on with his title ambitions, alongside team mate George Russell.
Defending champion Lando Norris made his presence felt in Miami last weekend and McLaren and Red Bull have had plenty of time to get their house in order ahead of this one, making it another fascinating weekend in Canada.

Montreal provides a stern test for all on the grid, and this feels like a significant weekend for the season ahead:
With three wins from his first four races this term, the form of Kimi Antonelli has been supreme so far this term.
Many expected Mercedes to challenge at the top of the grid this term, with George Russell seen as the natural main threat to McLaren and Red Bull. However, Italian Antonelli has been driving with confidence and authority well beyond his years and he finds himself as the favourite for this one in Montreal.
The battle between the two Mercedes drivers looks set to rumble on this term and George Russell will be desperate to join the party this weekend.
His opening weekend in Australia feels a distant memory and with Antonelli producing the results, he is a man under pressure from inside and outside of his team. Russell remains a top quality operator though and he will be in the mix here in Montreal.
Everybody had written off both McLaren and Lando Norris this season, before he roared back into the mix in Miami three weeks ago. Some momentum will have been lost but Norris remains a high quality operator and his car looks to be working more with him at the moment.
A podium finish in Florida may not have set the world alight but it should give Norris the confidence to kick on over the coming weeks and get into the title mixer.
F1 Canadian Top Six Finish Markets
This stop start feel to the 2026 F1 season makes it difficult to get a read on some drivers on the grid and everybody will be chasing important points here in Canada:-
Ferrari are another team that just can’t seem to string results together, but Charles Leclerc will be leading their charge here in Canada.
It has been another frustrating start to the season for the man from Monaco but if he gets up ahead of steam, he could pick up a top six spot.
In a similar vein, Lewis Hamilton’s early season optimism hasn’t waned, but a title challenge still looks a long way off, for the seven time F1 world champion.
Hamilton’s ceiling with Ferrari is a bit of an unknown quantity but he tends to go well in Canada, and he could be in the top half dozen here.
Finishing fifth in Miami felt seismic for Max Verstappen and Red Bull, who endured an awful start to the season, and they could be good for another break over the past three weeks too.
Verstappen and Red Bull continue to butt heads, but the Dutchman is a class act behind the wheel, and he will get all he can out of this car here in Montreal.
