Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix Predictions

F1 Austrian Grand Prix Race Winner

The halfway point of the 2021 Formula One season is almost upon us and with plenty of racing still to be done, it promises to be a thrilling battle at the Hungaroring:

Max Verstappen – $1.95 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Red Bull undoubtedly have the quickest car on the grid this season and Max Verstappen has been the main beneficiary. The Dutchman controversially crashed out at Silverstone but still holds a significant lead in the Drivers’ Championship and how he would love to press home his advantage here. Verstappen is yet to win at the Hungaroring and putting that right here could set him on his way to maiden F1 Drivers’ title.

Lewis Hamilton – $2.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet

7-time winner Formula One world title loves racing in Hungary, and he has registered a remarkable 8 wins so far at the Hungarian Grand Prix. His win at the British Grand Prix stoked a huge amount of controversy around the Formula One World Championship this year and the increasing bad blood between him and Verstappen is adding a fascinating narrative to the race to win the Driver’s Championship.

Valtteri Bottas – $13.00 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Having gone fastest in practice so far this week, Valtteri Bottas will be hoping to put more points on the board for Mercedes. With his place within the Mercedes set up coming into question he is a man under pressure, and he will need a performance here at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Such has been Hamilton’s dominance at this race track that Bottas has never won this race for Mercedes, but he seems to have a handle on the Hungaroring track. Youngster George Russell has been tipped by many to be Bottas’s replacement and he will be doing all he can to keep the wolves at bay this week.

Charles Leclerc – $21.00 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ferrari are enduring a barren spell, but they will be hoping Charles Leclerc can be the inspiration moving forward. The man from Monaco was pipped on the line by Lewis Hamilton at the British Grand Prix but showed real quality, in a Ferrari car that isn’t known for its speed. He will be relishing the conditions in Hungary this week and he could be one to watch, with so much bad blood ahead of him on the track.

F1 Hungarian Grand Prix First Driver to Retire

The Hungaroring is one of the most iconic race tracks in Formula One and every racer will be doing all they can to avoid trouble from the off here at the Hungarian Grand Prix:

Yuki Tsunoda – $9.00 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Japanese youngster Yuki Tsunoda has been hugely impressive for Alpha-Tauri this season, but his results are currently trending negatively. With pace to burn, Tsunoda looks to be a real prospect for the future, but the Hungaroring is an awkward proposition and Tsunoda looks to be a candidate to retire first at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Mick Schumacher – $11.00 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Following in his father’s footsteps has taken longer than many have expected for Mick Schumacher, who has endured a relatively tough rookie season so far for Haas. They are one of the only teams without a point as, yet this season and the young German could get caught up in trouble from the off in Hungary.

F1 Hungarian Grand Prix Top Six Finish

It is heading towards crunch time in the 2021 Formula One season and all of the big hitters on the grid will be desperate to register decent points at the Hungarian Grand Prix:

Sergio Perez – $1.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Red Bull have a seriously quick car and Sergio Perez has enjoyed a solid debut season for the team. Assisting Max Verstappen in his title bid will be key for the Mexican and if he can get in the top 6, he could be a nuisance for the Mercedes pair of Hamilton and Bottas.

Lando Norris – $1.44 – Bet @ Sportsbet

McLaren’s Lando Norris is sitting pretty in fourth in the Driver’s Championship, and he could be one to look out for here. He is starting to consistently piece together impressive drives and he is in possession of an excellent car with McLaren.

Daniel Riccardo – $1.85 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Australian Daniel Riccardo hasn’t really found the form he’d hoped for since joining McLaren, but he is a seriously quick operator and having won this race before, he looks to be a candidate to finish in the top six this year.

F1 Hungarian Grand Prix Best Bets:

Race Winner: Max Verstappen – $1.95Bet @ Sportsbet

First Driver to Retire:  Mick Schumacher – $11.00Bet @ Sportsbet

Top Six Finish:  Daniel Riccardo – $1.85Bet @ Sportsbet
